- Abovetheclouds2,482 contributionsI come to Hong Kong often but for some reason never came here despite visiting Tai Kwun many times. This bar is located inside. Intimate, cosy and I loved the decor. Really cool vibe and atmosphere. Not rowdy. Relaxing. Good music which wasn't too loud. Three quarters full on a Tuesday evening. Staff are all super friendly and nice. I don't drink alcohol so I asked the bartender if he could make me a mocktail based on one of the alcoholic cocktails, less the alcohol. I just told him what sort of flavour I liked and what I didn't. The mocktail was perfect. Very refreshing and as I wanted. Simple but tangy. The complimentary spicy popcorn was nice to snack on with my drink. I was a solo female and made to feel very safe and welcome. I felt like I was walking back in time to another era. Dark and sexy. Intimate and cosy. Lovely views of Victoria Harbour. I luckily managed to get a high seat on a shared table, walking in by chance on Christmas Eve around 20:15. Busy but it had a nice atmosphere. Huge drinks menu. You can page it for hours. I wasn't drinking alcohol so went with the ZERO ABV green cocktail which comprised kaffir lime, lemon grass, galangal, chilli and Darkside salted lime kombucha. Very nice and refreshing with a slight hint of chilli. They provide complimentary nuts and olives or you can get a light bite to eat from the snacks menu. Staff were very welcoming, friendly and pleasant. They have a live jazz performance every evening. Really good music. Just check the website for times. Clean. Most people were nicely dressed but a lot of people were casual too. Just look neat! Not too pricey. They’re located at the 32/F of East Hong Kong hotel. Very decent place with unparalleled views, nice vibes and live DJ music not so loud so you could have a nice chat. Wide variety of cocktails and other beverages, as well as Japanese-style snack. A very wide range of drinks and food available. Very nice to step outside to the terrace for shisha. Classic and "old school" design (very befitting the atmosphere - good!) - schmidtmgSwitzerland1,146 contributionsWe have been to the FCC in Lower Albert Road on several past occasions, mostly for drinks in the main bar but also recently for dinner in the main dining room. The menu is vast - Chinese, Western , Indian - and there are three kitchens preparing the various dishes. The Indian menu is surprisingly good (and cheap) - prawn biriyani, chicken tikka, chicken tikka masala etc, are all good and reasonably spiced. Good garlic naan. The regulars swear by the soufflé as dessert, which is available in various forms - ginger, chocolate, grand marnier.... Wines by the glass are fine. They ripped me off by charging extra for losing a a bag tag and shout at us! Her attitude absolutely ruined our night! I ended up unexpectedly leaving at around midnight. I came back the following week and the staff recognised me which is always a positive. Great fun place in causeway bay! Recommended!

My mate swears by this place as it’s across the road from his work and last night was probably the first time I had been here in about five years. We were only here for a few drinks but enjoyed chatting with the funny and engaging staff and I appreciated how much like an old school UK pub it really is here.
