Fantastic experience. I just went with myself and my dad and our tour guide, Jimmy. We went pre-pandemic, this is a late review. But when we went it was fantastic. Since it was just our small group it was very personal and we could tailor the day to whatever we wanted to do. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area and history.

Leo went far and beyond what was called of him for me on my trip to Beijing. He not only arranged a English speaking driver to take me to the wall but also informed me and answered a multitude of questions I had about Beijing! Even when my questions had nothing to do with what I had paid for! I would highly recommend booking through him because of this alone! He truly made my trip so much easier! Thank you Leo

If you want visit the Great Wall „off the beaten track“ this is your tour. Both sections (Gubeikou and Jinshanling) that we visited have been almost empty (during the week). Our guide Leo was fantastic, not only as a guide to the wall but as well as photographer bringing his own professional camera (he is also offering special visits to forbidden city with a focus on photography).
We can really recommend booking your trip with Beijing Walking Tours.

Famous for the Terracotta Army located nearby, Xian also deserves a very significant place in Chinese history as an ancient capital, the eastern end of the Silk Road and a melting pot of multi-ethnic Chinese culture. All of this came out in our trip thanks to the meticulous planning by Lenna and our skillful guide. The Xian hotel was extremely comfortable too. As a 2-day trip, we had 2 long days: the first started at 5:30 am and the second ended at midnight. If you want more time in Xian or a slower pace, consider a 2 night trip perhaps. This trip worked great for us and fit in between other commitments we had in Beijing. We strongly recommend this trip.

Great Wall, whichever part you wanted to visit he is the man to go to. We chose to take the cable car up and down and walk the Wall from Mutianyu to Jiankou - it was unbelievable, words just can't express how amazing the whole experience was. The views, the feel of the history in every step and stone. We didn't want to leave, it was so magnificent. We would highly recommend Jonny for whatever part of the wall you want to visit, the difficult for the very fit, or the more gentle parts for the not so fit. He does overnight camping on the wall, whatever you choose to do you will enjoy.

The bullet train ride was very smooth and comfortable in 2nd class and sight seeing was fun. The Porcelain House was unique and worth the stop. We toured the city via taxi which was enjoyable and allowed us to get around quicker. We had experienced Eyes before, but it did not disappoint in the view of the city and beyond. We stopped for lunch at the hotpot in the local mall and it was fantastic. Our guide Lisa was informative about local area and did a great job of making our day enjoyable.

Kenneth our guide met us at the train station in Xian with a sign that was easy t identity. He took us on our journey to the Terracotta warriors then home and gave us an expert knowledge. Provided us with a local lunch place and advised us of local menu choice ideas. Fully recommend this tour and ask for Kenneth as guide. Thank you

This is definitely the part of the wall to visit...This part of the wall has been restored. Pretty steep in places but not too many people so was easy to walk around.

Took some time to pick people up from the hotels. Then about two hours up to the wall on winding roads (definitely NOT recommended if you get car sick) plus one 'buy something stop' on the way up. It was an interesting drive up through small communities.

1.5 hours on the wall including time to get back down. One thing that wasn't initially clear is that you HAVE to buy a ticket to get on top of the wall and that cost is not included. (The trip up is on a 'ski lift' so if you have issues with height...NOT recommended.) I recommend the tobaggan for the way back down...it was fun and honestly alot of people stop so you don't actually end up going all that fast.

Different way back...much more direct...and another stop to 'buy something'. Even though we stopped twice for 'tourist buy something', it didn't feel pressured and the stops were relatively quick.

I do wish we had had more time to run around the wall and get out on some of the unrestored portions but overall this was a good tour.

I wanted to visit the Tombs without including a visit to the Wall, so this visit delivered that. I was met by Kim, who was great. It was an early start and my driver whisked us out to the Tombs. Once there I enjoyed a crowd-less, detailed tour of a number of tombs. Not all are open and many are similar so the ones you see cover the main tombs worth visiting. Kim supplied lots of details about the history, individuals buried there and background. The 5th Emperors tomb is the most impressive and learning about the Dragon Lady, will make you wonder, good or bad!

Harry was the perfect guide to take us around on several tours in the Beijing area. He knew where to go, what to do, the timing for it, & most importantly - keep us safe! If you are looking for someone to take you to the sights in & around Beijing, then Harry is the person you want to hire. Thank you for the very memorable tours on those days for our group in December, Harry!

We have been knowing Xiaowei for a couple of years now. He is a genuinely lovely and hard working person. He puts his passion into everything he does.

His Jinshanling tour is wonderful. You get picked up from your home, travel to the wall in a comfortable and clean car and can either choose to walk up to the wall or take the cable car.

Xiaowei knows the Jinshanling wall very well and has discovered the best photo spots. The golden mountains at sunset are just spectacular and offer a magical surrounding to capture some wonderful memories.
