Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful park! Lots of walking and stairs. Nicely maintained. If you have little kids, don’t plan on a stroller. There are too many stairs. Upon entering the park there are several flights of stairs with no landings. If you take the chairlift/cablecar to the top of the mountain, there is a sightseeing car ride people will try to sell you. This ride will take you down the mountain and out of the park, just a heads up. And it’s a wild ride down. The glass bridge is nice and was not scary, but views were just ok from up there.

Access to the cave is well done and the first part is quite easy.

Later there are 20 floors down which is quite a hike.

The structures are beautiful and well lit.

I would highly recommend paying a bit extra for a private tour.

We had an enjoyable time there and was quite impressed.

This is well worth the time to visit.

This place is fantastic, definitely a must-see in my opinion. The whole area is gorgeous, with steep green mountains and so is a great escape from Beijing.

To reach the caves, you must first use the cable car or hiking trail. The cable car is not for the fainthearted and climbs at an amazing rate. At the cable car summit, it's a short hike to the caves. The caves are free to enter and located in an old temple. At the cave entrance is 1,200 year old Buddhist carving. Deeper into the cave are six enormous caverns, each one seeming bigger. The caverns have large modern Buddhist statues. One cavern is nearly 70 metres high. The massive size of the caverns is hard to portray in photos.

After visiting the caves, you could hike across the Shangfang scenic area to the southern cable car station (two hours) and visit large temples on the mountaintop. Or you could return the way you came by cable car or the steep hiking trail down.

I visited the Shidu scenic area and Yunshui as a day trip from Beijing, and paid 800RMB for a taxi.

The caves are actually pretty impressive and huge. All of it is well lit with multi-colored lights. One of the best karst caves I have seen.

A 3.5 hours drive away from Beijing, this district was the location for the biking events during the Beijing Olympics. There are several bike routes ranging from 11km to 30km in this district (I have done both 2 of these routes by bike). The roads are fantastic, the asphalt is well maintained and there are almost no other cars. Recommended for a weekend trip away from Beijing.

There is not really a "stop" or station of any kind, but you can see when the bike route starts. Just get onto the bike and ride.
You have to bring your own bikes, there is no bike rental there. Or from Beijing city, there are many bike companies that can organize it for you.

I hope this is the right site. We went to Luoyang to see the Longmen Grottoes. It was a good walk and a lot of exercise walking up to see all the Grottoes closer up. It was such a hot day that we decided to take a boat ride back to the parking lot area. It cost less than $2 a person. I would suggest that to anyone, even if it wasn't a hot day, because it is such a nice ride and really gives you a good view of the Grottoes.

Doesn't worth going if you're looking for unforgettable impressions, but a nice place to walk around.
