The day started bright and early with an 8am pickup from the hotel, our driver was very nice and really made us feel comfortable on the drive to where the boat was.
Once we got to the boat, they asked if we needed snorkelling equipment and provided it without hesitation after which we boarded the boat while waiting for the others who would join us.
After the others joining for the day were on the boat, we set off and the staff split everyone up momentarily into groups of their preferred language (English or German) for an overview of how the day would go and to answer any questions.
After that, we continued on and spotted a couple of dolphins at which point the boat stayed in that area to search for and find them, who popped up here and there. Here the staff asked anyone who was a confident swimmer to get ready to go into the water to swim with the dolphins and there was no pressure to get anyone else to go in who didn't want to.
After a few dips to swim with the dolphins (we didn't get too close but still got to see a few!) we made our way to our first proper snorkelling spot; other boats also joined up here so they made sure everyone on the boat knew the boat name and our group name so that we were not lost if separated in the water. If lifejackets were desired for the water (and even a life ring) they were offered without hesitation.
After a good 30+ minutes of snorkelling, everyone made it back to the boat for a lunch consisting of pasta, falafel, chicken, potato salad and a mix of other salad items.
After this we went to one more snorkelling spot to do some more snorkelling and got to see some very cool sting rays and other fish.
After heading back to where we started, they then got out the rubber banana and other towable seat thing (I don't know the exact name) and got everyone on the boat to have a go being pulled around on these by speedboat before finally heading back to port and then being taken back to our hotels.
Throughout all of this the staff made sure everyone was ok and had a great laugh throughout too, playing with eachother and one of them sneakily poured cold water on some people's backs which was great fun. Throughout the whole day they were also recording and taking photos of everyone, above and below the water, with the option to buy at the end for 800EGP, there was no obligation to buy but after such a good day and capturing some great photos we were more than happy to.
Overall a 5/5 experience that I would highly recommend for anyone visiting Hurghada
