- Angelo4 contributionsWe had an Amazing and Memorable 8d7n package tour in Egypt. The Domiko crews were very friendly, and accommodating from the time of booking and choosing the package, from the day of Arrival until the day of departure.
They also offered us reasonable price package. And We also received a welcome gift from them. Which was very thoughtful. We’ve been to beautiful places guided by professional and amazing tour guides, Mr Paola in Cairo, Giza Alexandria and Mr. Peter in Aswan, Edfu and Luxor.
We also had an amazing 4days cruise on the River Nile (Nile Jewel cruise ship) which was included on the package. The food on the cruise were sumptuous, very savoury and appetizing. The crews on board were very friendly and hospitable.
We visited different temples, historically sites (Philae, Karnak, valley of kings etc), able to climb the great pyramids, we rode on camels and horse carriages, we visited the magnificent Library of Alexandria, Egyptian Museum, experiencing to cruise on Felucca (traditional Egyptian boat). Bought souvenirs in Old Cairo and a lot more things. In Summation My friends and I had a great memorable time in Egypt. We also received a token (Goodbye gift) from the team. I recommend you to visit Egypt. It is such a beautiful country, Nice weather with Friendly people with great food and has a lot to showcase.

I would like to thank the Drivers, Our great Tour guides and everyone who had been part of this amazing tour and especially Monika for this wonderful experience. - Adam C14 contributionsMe and my wife did the Giza Pyramids , Sphinx ,Saqqara and Memphis Private Tour with Haidy as our guide. We had an excellent time. Haidy was very kind and patient with us, allowing us to take our time and enjoy the experiences whilst also giving us the important information about each site and answer any questions. We both had a lot of fun and felt like we learned a lot too.
Also worth noting there were stops at the papyrus museum and perfume shop as is usual with these tours, but they weren't as pushy or pressuring us as much as other reviews suggest and was actually a fun experience.
Haidy & the driver arrived on time to pick us up and dropped us off back at our hotel. I wanted to review them separately from the travel company I booked the full excursion through (Exoticca-Avoid At All Costs!!!).
Planet Tours provides some outstanding customer service. We had great reps within the company (Samuel, Omar, etc...) as well as an amazing freelance guide, Fady. They work with you every step of the tour, making sure that your check-in, transportation, and even arrival/departure are seamless.
However, I was not crazy about the day-to-day organization of the trip. I understand the need for some of it (including early mornings to avoid the heat), but much of the trip was rushed and exhausting. You are often to tired and too hungry (LUNCH BREAKS PLEASE!!!) to actually enjoy some sites. I lived in Cairo for 15 years, so my expectations for a private tour guide are very high, but Mervat surpassed all of them. It was my wife’s first trip to Cairo and I wanted to have a guide with deep historical context and the savvy to help navigate the busy whirlwind of Cairo.
She is extremely knowledgeable, speaks excellent English, and knows all of the ins and outs of the various different sites and destinations. On top of that, her prices are very fair for how great of a guide she is and Mervat is just a delightful human being to work with. She is flexible, accommodating, fun, and kind.
