What a wonderful introduction to the world of ceramics. Mohamed was a very patient, talented, and informative teacher. You can easily see his passion for ceramics. In the course, Mohamed gave us a great foundation to grow from. We learnt a few hand building techniques and had a bit of time on the wheel. Mohamed also taught us about the rich history of ceramics in Egypt and beyond. We learnt about the traditional clays, processes, and designs that many of the surrounding villages use to produce pottery – I found this part of the course especially interesting and inspiring! And finally, Mohamed was gracious enough to host this course in English for us (it’s typically in Arabic). I was very grateful for the opportunity to take the workshop and would highly recommend it. - Ceri869Nottingham, UK33 contributionsAhmed gave us a custom guided tour of the Egyptian museum (with King Tutankhamen's mask etc), Old Cairo and Islamic Cairo. Ahmed was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, patient and an overall excellent tour guide. His English is extremely good and he knows so much about the museum and Egyptian history that we got answers to all our questions!
