What travellers are saying
- Houssam DayoubSafita, Syria12 contributionsVisiting the Old Twon will give an authentic experience of Old Tbilisi life and history.
From old churches, Synagog, Mosque, Sulphur Baths and old buildings, to traditional foods, restaurants, bakeries and shops.
Walking through the stone roads, where you can rest any time at good cafe or restaurant makes it a good tour to explore the Georgian traditional cousin and drinks.Written 10 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Houssam DayoubSafita, Syria12 contributionsStarting from Rike Park, it is a short trip up, however, it is the best way to go up to Mother of Georgia, Narikala Fort and Botanical Garden.
It will give a good chance to see the Old Town from up and the easy way to reach the mountain.
You may book both way (up & down) or you can just book one way.
You might need wait a short time in the queue depending on number of people waiting.Written 10 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - StellaStockholm, Sweden2,110 contributionsOne of the tour guides told me to come here. At 12pm (midday) there is a short puppet show just outside from the tower. It lasts a couple of minutes and has music and everything. It was so cute to watch, it was a very good recommendation.Written 11 December 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- lifenadventureDubai, United Arab Emirates1,760 contributionsA gorgeous photo stop for sure. Really beautiful even though it was the winter, the colours were amazing and the clouds were hanging low. The stores are trying to sell to you constantly and charge you to take photos with the swings and hearts. Just take your own selfies. Really lovely photos stop!Written 20 December 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Niyati ADubai, United Arab Emirates123 contributionsA lot different than cable car. The views are amazing. Its comfortable. Just do not forget to wear face mask, even the driver wasnt wearing it but the customers have to , otherwise buy it for 1 GEL.Written 5 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- arvind1000Pune, India2,223 contributionsThe Narikala is an ancient fortress overlooking Tbilisi, and the Mtkvari (Vari) River. The fortress consists of two walled sections on a steep hill between the sulfur baths and the botanical gardens of Tbilisi. The fortress can be reached from a tramway or road. Aside from walking the fortress walls, other things to do on Narikala Hill include visiting the Mother of Georgia statue. The views of the city from top of the hill are spectacular.Written 20 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Greg AlfordDallas, TX164 contributionsGorgeous piece of architecture. I think it’s almost prettier in the day because you can see the detail of the bridge. It’s always very busy but either way day or night it’s a gorgeous piece of architecture and a must see.Written 14 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Houssam DayoubSafita, Syria12 contributionsBest way to go up to Mount Mtatsminda is to use Funicular Car, from the down station to upper station, the trip might take max 5mins.
Tbilisi City View is wonderful from up and you can enjoy Georgian Food at Funicular Complex Restaurant.
Great garden over the mountain where you can enjoy the trees, flowers and the walk.
Also there is an amusement park where kids can enjoy their time.Written 10 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Houssam DayoubSafita, Syria12 contributionsA wonderful getaway place to relax and enjoy the natural greenery. Although it is in the city but you feel like you are out of Tbilisi city.
Walking under the trees, the colorful seens, flowers, sounds of the birds, river and wonderful waterfalls: all make it a great experience and enjoyable walk.
Kids will enjoy the Zip Line, the facilities, and walking.
Great views to take unforgettable photos of greenery, river and waterfall.
We spend about 3-4hrs and wanted to come back later to enjoy more of the different parts of the Garden (Japanese Garden - Mediterranean Garden and others).
You can plan your visit to Botanical Garden as part of your tour to Mother of Georgia and Narikala Fort using the cable care form Rike Park to go up the mountain then go walking down to Botanical Garden.
Fees are reasonable.Written 10 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Alireza KTehran, Iran277 contributionsExcellent view of city, great weather, again view was amazing, you can watch most if historical location at the same time, how seek is that😆😁Written 12 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Sophie B8 contributionsWe loved the architecture and the possibility to stroll on an alley without having to go up or down the hill. There are many interesting small shops and oriental restaurants on the way, so it would be a pleasant walk if it wasn´t so loud and crowded.
Still a beautiful place to stroll.Written 28 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - arvind1000Pune, India2,223 contributionsAs we walking around Tbilisi on our own we came upon Rikes Park. This park is located on the left bank of the Kura (Mtkvari) River. It is easy to access from the Old Town via the pedestrian bridge now famous The Bridge of Peace.
One of the interesting aspects of this park for tourists is the cable cars, which takes visitors over the Kura (Mtkvari) River and Old Town, as well as up to Narikala Fortress.Written 21 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Sophia B4 contributionsaaaaaaaaaamazing dancing fountains in rike park. this place is realy daimond of Tbilisi. love it. suuuper <3Written 11 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Sweta A8 contributionsWe really enjoyed how Makho explained the history of Georgia and the infrastructure surrounding us. We visited a variety of different tourist attractions which entertained us and were able to see breathtaking sceneries from the best viewpoints. The restaurant we were recommended by Makho had a wide range of food and was very good. We were suggested the best activities to take part in (such as bread making and wine tasting). We were able to visit all corners of Georgia because of Makho Tours and they made our trip the best it could ever be.Written 6 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Tania Tulsi2 contributionsMy 1 week trip of Georgia was super amazing because of my fantastic guide George…the most wonderful person & guide one could ever get! He showed us all what he promised - we had an extensive itinerary. He was so full of enthusiasm that even when at times we said No to some place he insisted on going there & trust me they were all worth it experiences. George made Georgia even more memorable.
With him being around - there was absolutely no problem.
Thank you George!! Wishing you & ur family a very best for the coming times!!
Hope to see you again 😊Written 11 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
