A must do if you’re into food, wine or organic agriculture. You enjoy great scenery, food and wine. The best part was meeting and taking with the passionate wine makers directly (you can’t get that experience visiting a large , Shumi-like, winery)
We enjoyed the drive to Kakheti where Vaska explained the history of the Georgian wine and he current industry scene. It was clear that he and the wineries he visits on the tour are passionate about nature, sustainable and organic practices and preserving tradition while improving quality
Expect 3 main stops (depends on session) but the ones we did were:
- VELLINO’s: was great meeting the young wine maker Beke. Tried the white, rose and Saperavi
- Okro's Wines: this is a caller/restaurant nice traditional lunch with exceptional view on the Signagi town, and Alazany valley
- GHVARDZELASHVILI'S: George was a great host :)
