Not a large market. If you are into watches, cameras, brass home hardware and fittings, military memorabilia and jewelry then this is the place. Lots of Shashkas and knives but looked so fake. Most of it is on the ground and very tight to move around. Depending on your searching skills, it takes about an hour to go through. There were lots of paintings but not terribly enticing.

We walked to Dezerter market from our hotel though it took us about 30 minutes to reach. It is the main market for fresh produce such as fruits and vegetables, all kinds of meats, and is vibrant and colourful place. The Dezerter Bazaar, is located near the Station Square Metro, is one of the biggest bazaars in Tbilisi. The Dezerter Bazaar earned its name during wartime: Soldiers absconding from the Russo-Georgian War in the 1920s would offload their weapons and gear at the marketplace, earning it the moniker ‘deserter’. Or so the story goes.

I'm not into shopping but this place is where you can find brands with good prices. Mainly products from neighbouring Turkey especially clothes and footwear. Also many places to enjoy a good snack.

Big mall with food courts, kids play area, cinema, shops, banks, Carrefour. Have some international brand there. Not bad to spend a raining day there or do your regular home grocery.

If you like photography then it well worth looking at this gallery, which has some historical photojournalism pieces by well know local artists, some young contemporary pieces and some conceptual work; all of which is for sale. The Gallery Managers are both knowledgable and passionate about the work in the collection. Their English is superb and add something to a visit here. Great art house coffee too!

This lovely underground tunnel shop is filled with so much interesting stuff to see, you can buy many souvenirs here although you have to keep in mind that it's a tourist spot so the prices here can be much pricier than other places, it is definitely worth a visit though.

The best part is that it’s splited to different arias,toys,clothing,fabrics...
You will need at least 4-5 hours to see good part of it.
Don’t argue a lot about the price

I was recently on vacation in Tbilisi and would highly recommend visiting the Rustaveli Street Market for any traveller looking to find cool and inexpensive gifts to bring home. There is a wide variety of unique things to choose from that far exceed the typical tourist fare. The market is lined with cute stalls and friendly vendors who have a great selection to choose from. In particular, I was very impressed with the taste level and quality of bags being sold by a new Georgian company called TERTMETI which means “eleven” in English. The bags are made locally by a charismatic up and coming young designer named Levan who is apparently gaining quite a following with a recent store he opened in the Vake district. The TERTMETI bags come in a wide variety of different leathers, fabrics and cool colours. The bags are super hip, well designed and surprisingly inexpensive, at least half the price you’d pay back home for something of inferior quality. Not far from TERTMETI was another cool company called FRONDY, that has a unique selection of handmade accessories made by a friendly art student named Giga. All of Giga’s earrings and bracelets come in a wide variety of interesting shapes, colours and sizes. I would describe the pieces as having a cool vintage-modern style and the sets i brought back home were a HUGE hit with my friends!! If you’re in Tbilisi and love to find interesting things that are not typical, I would highly recommend the Rustaveli Street Market.

Such a warm feeling after visiting this gallery. Besides incredibly hospitable host I managed to find masterpieces for New Year presents. It seems to be a little magic spot of Tbilisi. I am definitely visiting this place again with my next arrival. Thank you!
