Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Pavel HUK161 contributionsIt’s a must do attraction in Guyana. I’ve used Wilderness Explorers whom I am strongly recommending. The whole tour was perfectly organised, we were the first ones to arrive in the afternoon slot and had the falls for ourselves. It’s a truly incredible sight and main reason why you should consider Guyana for your next holiday!Written 2 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Philippe LSan Diego, CA2 contributionsThis was a really pleasant escape into nature, not far from Georgetown at all. The site right on the Essequibo River was gorgeous and Tracy was an extremely fun and welcoming host.Written 4 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - travellerX49Warrnambool, Australia391 contributionsPart of the walkway was not open because of a fallen tree and the longer of the two that were open had a marked sway on it. It was fantastic to appreciate the height of the canopy and the birding was amazing. It is quite a steep climb up to the platform including 233 steps in all, I counted them, it is worth the effort though.Written 16 August 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Denise M28 contributionsIt was at the end of the dry season in an el nino year, so probably the worst time to visit a botanical garden. Despite this, and it being in s state of almost complete desolation for decades, it's home to a manatee and hundreds of birds. Seeing those made it worthwhile. It's also an iconic place in my family lore, so other descendents of Guyanese people from Georgetown might want to visit and imagine how it was in its glory days.Written 13 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
