- Diane The TravellerUnited Kingdom16 contributionsA lovely mosque with some amazing features such as the chandelier. Not as big or as grand as Abu Dhabi, but definitely worth a visit. The guide gives lots of information about the mosque and the Islam faith which was very interesting and informative. Definitely on the “To Do” list when in Bahrain.Written 21 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - barrowboy6099 contributionsThis is a must do when visiting Bahrain. It is a stunning building in lovely surroundings - with works of art dotted around the outside. The displays do not disappoint either, from the map on the floor as you walk into the foyer to the the many exhibitions - all are most informative & well presented.
It gives you a good insight to the local culture of Bahrain.
The coffee shop is good too with lovely seating outside in the shade.Written 29 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I had tickets to Batelco, you can see so much of the track fro the seats, I wish they would increase the number of Screens (My only complaint)
If you are coming with little kids they have lots of options for entertainment, so you can watch F1 and F2 while the kids enjoy themselfs.
There is free bus service, I would sugges that Uber becomes 6 time the normal cost at the end of the day.
Wear shorts and t shirt + cap its very hot in the day, and bing a light jacket sun goes down it can be a little cold for some people.
Overall its an amazing location for live F1 if you are a fan.Written 29 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LolaGo1Washington DC, DC6,407 contributionsThis is a market hrere in Manama where one can purchase a lot of stuffs: gold jewelries, spices, clothings, bags and luggages, etc. Vendors are welcoming, not aggressive like those in Morocco.
Two other attractions are located here: the Gate and the Shri Krishna Shrine. For the latter, my driver/guide had to ask for directions to visit it inside the narrow street of the souq.Written 9 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It was a pleasant visit, lighted buildings are good backgrounds for photos.
During the day, one can do a lot of stuffs here, basically shopping, eating, dining or just simply enjoying the local ambience.Written 9 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Navigate452916897501 contributionGreat place for meditation and photos. It’s a beautiful tree in the desert surrounded by various oil places and camp grounds.
Warning!!!! GPS might take you away from the main road to cut through a dirt road with areas of soft sand where numerous visitors , like myself, get stuck. Fortunately there are security personnel and grounds keepers to help for a small fee. Uploaded is a photo of the area to stay away from marked with a red X.Written 3 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
