Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It does not matter what time you do your Tawaf there will always be a rugby match trying to access and kiss it. Unfortunately there is no common sense approach of just allowing those who have accessed it to just leave without trying to wrestle them back and at the same time no order and just lots of pushing for everyone to get access.

On the plus side the reward is worth it.

Watch out for wheelchair scammers. They might ask for money upfront, saying they need to use the restroom and promise to return. However, they won't come back. Don't give them money in advance.

It was a spiritual experience to say the least. A must visit for all Muslims.

The plan was to leave the hotel at 4.30. Hike up to the summit, do solat subuh, watch the sunrise and hike down. Didnt go as planned.

We took Uber which cost 40 Riyal. The driver dropped us off at a dark alley and told us the start point is just a walk ahead. Unfortunately when we reached the supposedly start point it was boarded up. The start point and route had just been changed 3 days ago. We had to take another taxi to Hira Cultural Centre, the new start point, a spanking new complex.

The new route was well-marked. There were quite a number of hikers going in both directions. The trail was both sandy and rocky. It then started to drizzle which made the rocks quite slippery. Some parts were quite steep and could be quite overwhelming for someone afraid of heights.

When we reached the Hira Cave, I was so emotional. To be at the same place where Prophet Muhammad was, it was surreal. I managed to climb into the cave. The entry was narrow but manageable. A few people did their solat in the cave itself. I didn’t but decided to leave the cave to allow others to come in.

We did our solat at the summit, at the roofless mushollah. The view was spectacular from the summit.

When we hiked down, we could see the old closed route which we believed was so much steeper but much much shorter. The distance was only 4.2 km and it took us a total of 2.30 hours.

The tallest skyscraper in Makkah has 7 hotels and a museum located on the top floor. There is a huge mall and food court that has a variety of cuisines from around the world. It lights up differently at night and has spectacular colors.

It was in 1988 to 1989 that our residence in Madina was around 200 meters away from the Masjid.
Every time my family goes to Masjid AlNabawi, we passed by this unique Masjid.
The ground floor is a bustling stores of different commodities.
The second floor serves as the masjid main praying area.
This is a symbol that faith and business are in harmony.
We make a living and we pray.
I visited Madinah from time to time after completing my work journey in Saudi Arabia from 1978 to 1998.
    We were there in 2010 2015 2017 and 2018.
    A reminiscent of the past.
    This year…November 2022.
The Masjid is still the same look.
A market was near the masjid.
Also an open area or park where pigeons freely fly.
Nearby also are Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Indian, Arabic Restaurants.
Good to take night time dinner.

Truly an amazing stress-free experience. I was very impressed with how clean and luxurious the buses were. The accommodations were five-star hotels with access to the holy mosques. The food tasted great and was fresh. The fact that everything is as promised still amazes me, huge thanks to Abdulaziz for the great customer care.
