The great Mosque of Makkah Al Masjid Al-Haram (Holy Mosque) in Makkah, Saudi Arabia is one of the destinations of Hajj and Umrah (Pilgrimage), it receives millions of worshippers every year from all over the World. To accommodate those Pilgrimage hundreds of Hotels are build around 2 holy mosques.

Masjid Al-Haram is also known as Sacred Mosque or the Great Mosque of Makkah. The Kaabah is a cuboid-shaped building in the centre of the Masjid Al-Haram and the most sacred site in Islam. Qibla is the fixed direction towards the Kaabah in the Great Mosque in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. It is the direction that all Muslims face while performing their prayers, wherever they are in the World.

Part of Umrah. It is airconditioned and well maintained. From what I understand, there are 5 floors so if one is crowded, try another floor. There are places to sit on the side if you tired. Plenty of zamzam stations. Be careful of the people running with wheel chairs. Back in the 70's and 8-'s the hills were open to everyone. Everything is closed behind glass because of people's behaviors.

Visiting Cave Hira (Jabal Al-Nur) was an unforgettable and spiritual experience. We started late at night, taking a taxi from Mecca to the base of the mountain, where horse riding is also available. The trek to the top took me about 1 hour and 45 minutes, mainly because I took breaks to rest – it's quite a climb, but manageable with patience.

At the summit, a man was selling water, and I also noticed many cleaners maintaining the sacred site. It's heart-warming to give them some money as they work hard and are in need. To access the actual cave where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) received the revelation, you pass through a narrow gap between the stones. There were several visitors, and I waited about 10 minutes to pray inside the small but deeply significant space.

The views from the mountain are breath-taking, though it’s a bit disappointing that the Kaaba is obscured by tall buildings. Still, the surrounding area near the cave offers plenty of space to sit, meditate, and pray. We stayed until sunrise, and watching the sun rise from behind the mountains was a truly serene and awe-inspiring moment.

Tips: Wear comfortable shoes, bring plenty of water, and prepare for a bit of a climb. The experience is well worth the effort, and I highly recommend it for those visiting Mecca.

The beaty of the Kaaba overtakes everything. It is a sight that cannot be explained. It will attract you towards it and made us realize of how insignificant we are. The love for the Kabaa cannot be explained but has to be felt.

You have to let go of the fact that it is always crowded and you will get pushed and stepped on. Go with the flow and connect with it.

This historical site still give us service to take miqot before we perform umrah. But the rest room is lack of cleanliness and maintenance. The location itself is easy to find.

It is great if you can persevere through the crowd and get to peak inside. You will see the footprint of Ibrahim AS on the stone that raised him due to build the kabaah. Great to view if you can make it past the crowd. Must see IMHO but not mandatory at all.

Another of the stops on our Ziyrat. Make sure to come with a scholar who can paint a picture of what the prophet went through during Hajj. Definitely worth a visit with a guide who can explain a history and significance.

The Haramain Train is truly a super wonderful mode of transportation. The train itself is fast, clean, and comfortable, making travel between cities like Makkah, Madinah, and Jeddah a breeze. It’s perfect for anyone looking to travel efficiently and in comfort. The convenience it provides is unmatched, and I highly recommend it for its modern design and smooth operations.

However, there are some areas that need improvement. The customer service and app functionality need attention. The app often crashes during the payment process, which makes booking a frustrating experience. We tried several times to resolve this issue, but it kept recurring, causing delays and unnecessary stress.

Thankfully, after much effort, we were fortunate to have a customer support employee,Nouf, assist us. I would like to personally thank Nouf for her professionalism and for her understanding and resolving the issue. After multiple attempts to escalate the matter, she was the one who truly helped us out, and we are very grateful.

Overall, the Haramain Train is excellent, but improvements in customer service and the app are needed to make the experience flawless.
