Eat & Meet Jerusalem - Cooking class
#1 of 17 Classes & Workshops in Jerusalem
Spent an amazing morning with Yael (the host) and few others learning and tasting different Israeli delights in the market, then followed by a fun and delicious cooking class/lunch at Yael’s home.
We had a really fun afternoon cooking with Yael and we would definitely recommend the class as a unique way to experience Jerusalem through its food!

At the same time Ron took our kids to a chocolate making class just around the corner.
To cap off an already fabulous day, we finished with a cooking and prep class inside an old Syrian tank bunker where the other owner of Puzzle, Nir who is a chef, had his staff set up heaters and tables and chairs...

The workshops are bright and buzzing with activity; the handiwork is unique, colorful and made with love.
Visit the workshop rooms, spend your money (credit cards welcome) here, and take home memories along with your unique finds.
Ulpan-Or

I did a week at Ulpan-Or in Jerusalem with the "T-Ulpan" program, which includes individual lessons in the mroning, then touring the city with a teacher in the afternoon.
I felt that class time was always engaging, that the materials I used were interesting, and that the activities outside of class really helped me apply what I was learning/challenged me to use Hebrew in new settings.

You can watch the glassblowers make the glass at the workshop, and some people even go to the glass district in Hebron's Old City to do that, but I've been dissuaded by regional tensions.

Our family spent a fabulous morning with Yuval beginning with a tour of Machane Yehuda, followed by a cooking lesson and ending with a delicious feast that we prepared together.
Even before our class, Yuval took the time to show us around the Jerusalem market, and we had a delightful experience learning about Middle Eastern herbs and spices.
