What travellers are saying
- LPR1988Windsor and Maidenhead, UK1,059 contributionsA lot of people seem unhappy with the “tours” they booked and I can see why.
Thankfully we just booked our ferry tickets across and made our own way around the island at leisure.
This was a much better option as we could leave when we wanted.
We got there about 11am and stayed till 3pm, which in a cold January is more than enough time.
We got some lunch, grabbed coffees and then just wandered around.
It was very quiet on the island as we were well outside of peak season but it was interesting looking at the old colonial style houses and villas.
We came across a lovely little museum which we wandered around before getting the little bus back down to port for some lunch.
I would imagine that during the summer months this island would be quite lively but in January it was very quiet - which is what we wanted.
Make sure to make a note of the last ferries back as you wouldn’t want to be stuck.
We were told at the ticket office
That the last boat left at 7pm but that was not the case and we luckily made the last one at 3pm!Written 16 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Barbora_11Brussels, Belgium69 contributionsWonderful idea of a floating island with a great beach club offering a big pool , lounge chairs, lot of nice restaurants. A truly cool place to be to experience the modern and trendy Istanbul.
The service was however poor - they employ lot of young kids who are not trained well. They mixed our orders, brought a bill which was wrong, not attentive to customer service. I was also disappointed with the SUADA website - for a such a classy place, one would expect a much better website which contains useful information and correct information! I had to google around trying to find out how to get there, how much it costs, what is included in the price etc.Written 29 June 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Departure811861Germany853 contributionsA trip to the Princes' Islands can be made every day in any weather, but sunshine would of course be much better. It is a very nice experience to go by boat from Kabataş to Büyükada or any of the other islands. On doing so you can see various Istanbul sights while comfortably sitting in a boat and having some tea. The seagulls will be your companions. Büyükada offers the visitor a lot of activities. If you want to go for a ride in a horse carriage, seriously think about going alone, especially if you want to take photos. Another person might be an obstacle.Written 3 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
