Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Smooth trip from Siem Reap to Bangkok. Comfortable bus, drinks and food were provided and a quick border crossing. Good service all together.

We booked an all day private tour to visit the Kulen Elephant Sanctuary and Kulen Mountain. Our guide, Kuyseila, was amazing. Warm, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable, he made our trip very enjoyable. He educated us on the history of the country, the different religions and the overall culture. He was also kind enough to take multiple pictures of us - he was a great photographer! The 2 destinations included during this day trip are must sees in Siem Reap. The elephant sanctuary is home to 10 retired elephants and the opportunity to feed and walk with these gentle giants was quite the experience. Kulen mountain is stunning with beautiful temples, and the most ridiculously gorgeous waterfall. We took this tour the day after our tour of the temples. I highly recommend booking with this company. If possible, ask for Kuryseila!

We travelled from Siem Reap to Battambang and Battambang to Phnom Penh. After reading numerous TripAdvisor reviews the buses were what I expected. Here are some things to keep in mind
    - If you're taking a VIP Van book the front row seats. In the back row they stuff four seats in space given to three seats in the first row. The second row has a laneway in the middle taking up some room.
    - There may be mosquitoes or other insects on the bus so use repellent if you're concerned.
    - I found their free bottle of water to taste funny so I recommend packing another bottle or two
    - The bus may not depart on time, in our case they seemed to wait for late tourists who I would have left behind if I was the driver.
    - Total travel time will take longer than advertised.
    - Driving will seem crazy by Western standards but hey it's Cambodia.

The prices for limousine bus services travelling anywhere in Cambodia are cheap. The term "Limousine" is different to what westerners would expect. It had aircon, the seats were cramped and by the time we got from Kampong Cham to Siem Reap we were all glad to get off. But it is still good value for money.

Capitol Tours bus service isn’t great. 1st bus from Phnom Penh to Battambang took one hour for the first 10km as the bus driver was looking for someone along the way (didn’t look like an official customer). We were 45mins late getting into Battambang with 3 more stops including two 10 mins and a 20min stop. Next leg we tried was supposed to be a big bus but ended up being only a 17 seater. The trip was to be 3 hours, after 1st hour the driver stopped for 20min lunch and again after the 2nd hour driver stopped again for a 20min stop.
Will pay extra and go with another company next time. Not worth the drivers delays.

Not the first time I travel with the company, but the service towards foreigners is not respectful. From Phnom Penh to Koh Kong 8$ and from KK to PP 10$ written in English, but Khmer language says 8$ also. The company charge 2$ extra in KK to drop you at the busstation! Problem is that they put 4 foreigners (noisy tourists) together in one tuktuk, and this is unrespectful as too-quick-money-to-get. Upon my question why they do so (in khmer language), the VET employee simply says: "because you are a foreigner". Sad attitude.

Why they advertise a Phnom Penh to Battambang trip as 6 hours, I will never know. Yes, the bus leaves on time but makes so many stops along the way that a supposed 6 hour trip takes closer to 8.5. At Pursat, just after the obligatory lunch stop, we managed to stop no fewer than 5 times in the space of 150m. It does get frustrating. That said, all of Cambodia’s bus companies are much the same. A great deal of patience is required. You’ll get to your destination, just not anywhere near within the advertised time.

We booked though an agent in Siem Reap a coach to Phnom Penh, we went with the coach rather than the mini bus thinking it would be more comfortable and would only be 1 hr more!! We ended up with TSS somehow though another company. The bus was pretty old and honestly it seemed like one of those that if it did crash it wouldn't end well, no seat belts, people sitting on stools and bags of rice in the asle. The guy picked us up almost an hour after they said we would get picked up, just in a random car with all police uniforms in the back, god knows why. Then he shouts at us to hurry up... we'd been ready for almost 2 hrs!! Got dropped somewhere on the outskirts of the city for a while, shouting in Cambodian and no idea what is going on as it's past our departure time. Get on a mini bus for about 10 mins, stop at the side of the road for 15 mins, then drive 5 mins down road to the actual bus!! Why!! The journey was pretty dragged out to stay it was only about 350km as we kept stopping either for breaks or to let more people on and drop them about 10km down the road, at one point they even got 2 motorbikes from inside the bus!! But it got us there in the end I suppose and it was only $7!!

Overcrouded van, no room for feet because bags everywhere, even an extra plastic chair instead of a seat. 20 passengers in a 16 passenger van. People listing to personnal device with no earphones really no respect. But this is their culture i guess. The only positive point a/c was great.

Was told 3hours for the trip from phnom penh to sihanoukville, it took 5 and a half instead. There was no traffic other than the usual (I have driven around for 3 weeks in cambodia). Disappointed we missed several plans that were made.

We travelled with Angkor Express from Siem Reap to Kampot, well the overall experience was not pleasant.
The bus departed 1 hour and 15 minutes after the scheduled time, it took 2-3 hours longer to get in PP, the bus was very old and stopped so many times to collect the locals, I have to say though that it was an interesting experience to observe the life of the cambodian people, there were also some beautiful children and the locals were very kind and friendly.
However the worst was expecting us in PP, we were taken by a tuc tuc to the place where the van should take us to Kampot, absolutely appalling, the Van was practically full with only one seat free, there was a motorbike inside the van, some of the people in the van seemed drunk, not sure about the driver though, we decided to leave and took a taxi to kampot for 40 dollars.
