Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Kauan KucharskiAustralian Capital Territory, Australia9 contributionsThis museum offers a powerful insight into Cambodia’s dark past. The preserved rooms and detailed exhibits honor the victims and remind us of the importance of peace. A deeply moving experience.Written 30 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Dimitris LSydney, Australia51,768 contributionsThe National Museum in Phnom Penh is a wonderful architectural building that houses many treasures of the Khmer culture. - cwatsoncatEl Dorado Hills, CA58 contributionsI went to this museum purely due to the good ratings and it didn’t disappoint. As a “Museum of Economy and Money” it seemed an odd choice, but it was only $5, modern and air-conditioned with good signage in English. I skipped the audio guide and was fine. Basically it tracks the use of currency through time in Cambodia, using the history of the country as a backdrop. I liked reading about the events and learned a lot. There are mini-movies throughout. I was overtaken by an adorable class of 8 year old schoolchildren. I spent 90 minutes there, even skipping the ground floor exhibits on what money is.Written 6 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Suzan BLos Alamitos, CA32 contributionsThis is not a fun place, but a place that anyone who cares about people MUST visit. - GuyOMGpokerUnited Kingdom119 contributionsNice artistic space for freelance workers but not a lot going on here for casual tourists. Just a small art gallery, tiny bar and skate park. - KMLondon22London, UK214 contributionsIf you are interested in the history & culture of Cambodia this is worth a visit. Unfortunately, the style of display is rather dated with very little information to understand the exhibits. Also, it is surprisingly small for a national museum, only occupying one floor around a central quadrangle. The cafe in the grounds is nice for a bit of lunch or a nice smoothie. The museum is a short walk from the Royal Palace.Written 6 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

It also includes items presented by world leaders from Africa, Japan, Myanmar and Thailand and presents from the United Nations Transitional Authority in Cambodia (UNTAC), chairman of the CPP Chea Sim, and Cambodia's hill tribespeople.

His friendly manner and creativity make for a unique experience to his lovely shop in the heart of downtown Phnom Penh - right next to the National Museum. Py's sister is a gentle and lovely presence in the store too. I found several pieces for various family members in the shop and had one piece custom made. I was very pleased with everything. I highly recommend a trip to Lotus Space. The store is a pleasure to visit and the decor and ambiance well worth the visit too. Unique, custom made jewelry at affordable prices! You can't beat that.Written 1 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
