Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our one-day excursion to Battambang was the grand finale of our holiday in Cambodia, and it turned out to be the absolute best. Despite the long drive from Siem Reap (2.5-3 hours each way), this tour was so well-designed and enriching that every minute felt worth it. It’s a must-do if you’re looking for a meaningful and unforgettable experience outside of Siem Reap.

Our journey started with Tree (or Tri), our driver, who made the long drive so comfortable and relaxing. His safe and focused driving allowed us to rest and even sleep peacefully on the way there and back, which gave us the energy to fully enjoy the day.

Once in Battambang, our experience shifted into high gear with Kim, our exceptional guide and tuk-tuk driver. Kim was truly the star of the day. He not only followed the itinerary perfectly but also accommodated every additional stop we requested. From visiting a tobacco shop where we learned how to roll tobacco from a grandmother, to exploring a fresh market to try local street food, and even tasting barbecued rat, Kim went above and beyond to ensure we experienced the true essence of Battambang.

Kim’s storytelling and humor brought history and culture to life. His ability to make everything relatable and engaging was remarkable. He didn’t just show us the sights; he helped us connect with the people, stories, and spirit of the city.

The tour itself was brilliantly structured. Battambang’s unique architecture and rich history captivated us, while the bamboo train ride was a fun, memorable experience that also supported rural families selling souvenirs. Lunch, prepared by a local family, was simple yet delicious. The Banaan Temple was absolutely stunning (though the stairs are not for the faint-hearted!).

The day culminated with a visit to the Killing Cave, Bouddhist temple with amazing views and Bat Cave, which left a profound impact on us. Witnessing the Khmer people’s resilience and ability to turn tragedy into meaning was incredibly moving. Watching thousands of bats emerge from the cave at sunset was one of the most magnificent sights we’ve ever seen—truly unforgettable.

If you only have time for one tour outside Siem Reap, this is the one to choose. Battambang’s beauty, culture, and people will leave a lasting impression. On our next trip to Cambodia, we plan to stay a few days in Battambang and will absolutely request Kim as our guide again. This experience was perfect in every way. Highly, highly recommended!

Temple tour was comprehensive and interesting. The biking varied from “adventure” biking on jungle trails between the temples to newly paved roads and hard-gravel bike paths. I am under the impression that the guide can tailor the biking route to be more or less “adventure” depending on skill and interest. The guide was very friendly and informative. The food was delicious.

Great tour! Our guide Vuthiy was wonderful - very knowledgeable and helpful. He shared with us stories of where he grew up (way outside the city), his short time as a monk,.. very interesting! He also explained a lot about all the stuppas and statues we saw. And he bought wonderful fried bananas for the return trip!!! The scenery was great, and we were fascinated by the silk production, from moths to worms to beautiful silk. Wonderful trip! Thanks

Very good experience. Tango is very friendly and knows the area around Kampot very well. Riding by Tuktuk is the perfect way to get around and see some of the landscape. We went to the cave with the old temple inside, the so-called secret lake, the pepper plantation and to Kep with the crab market. Individual tour according to our wishes. Perfect!

Having just arrived in Sihanoukville, I wanted a half day- tour and an informed guide to answer my many questions about this city. It has over 500 incomplete or abandoned buildings and I wanted to understand how this happened and also try to find any remains of the original Khmer culture. Well I picked the right tour! While it is titled "Sihanoukville Shore Excursion for cruise ship", they did pick me up from my hotel which was much appreciated. My tour guide was Mr Saroeun, who was just excellent. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and was able to tailor the tour to what I wanted to see. It was a great overview of the city and the excursion to the waterfall is a must, not just to see the falls, but to see how Cambodians enjoy their free time. And I'm glad I was in a car as the road is pretty rough. so a tuk-tuk would not have been comfortable. Mr Saroeun helped with the organisation of my trip to Koh Rong for the next day while we were at the Port and his choice of a beach-side lunch venue was also excellent as the seafood was outstanding. Overall a highly recommended tour!

This tour of Tonle Sap and Kampung Phluk was excellent. The half day tour was perfect. My guide, Sophy, was very relaxed. He provided information about the sites but did not overwhelm me with details unless I asked questions. This was prefect! Because the tour was in the morning we were able to go to a morning market as well, which was a nice extra stop. The driver Phearom was also very nice. He messaged in the morning on What's App to tell me when he would arrive. This was reassuring and allowed me to be ready on time.

The Kampot Tour with Mr. Roy was an absolutely amazing experience! ! We began at the fascinating Salt Fields, where Mr. Roy shared insights into the local industry. Next, we explored a cave with a hidden temple inside – a magical and spiritual stop that left me in awe. The tranquil Secret Lake was a peaceful retreat, offering incredible views and a moment to relax.

The highlight of the day was the visit to La Plantation Pepper Farm, where we learned all about Kampot’s world-famous pepper. Mr. Roy’s passion and knowledge brought every location to life. As an added treat, we extended the journey to Kep, enjoying fresh seafood by the beach and soaking in the relaxed coastal vibes.

Mr. Roy’s organization, storytelling, and friendly approach made this tour exceptional. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Kampot – it’s the perfect blend of culture, nature, and culinary delights!

My husband and I try to do a bike tour in almost every country we visit. However, I am not really a comfortable bike rider otherwise (we live in NYC, my husband will bike, I do not). So I really don't go biking that often. That being said, this was one of the more challenging bike experiences we've done but I still enjoyed it, would do it again, and would definitely recommend it! First, our guide Sunchen was phenomenal. He was so kind, so accommodating, and was just a pleasure to spend an entire day with. He went at a great pace, and knew so much about the sites we saw. At one point I lost my sunglasses and he went back (it was quicker for him than for me or my husband) and found them so quickly when it would've taken me so long. He was so great to speak with and we really enjoyed speaking with him about his life and experiences.
The bikes are in great condition. First, he led us to a great spot for the sunrise at Angkor Wat. We actually ended up being the only two people on this tour! So it was a private tour for us, which is amazing. Either way I'm sure he could've handled a larger group. After Angkor Wat we went and had an amazing private breakfast with a private chef making omelettes, toast, fresh coffee/juice. Then we headed on our way. Most of the paths are very easy and flat. Some of it is a little more tricky but, again, I was able to manage. At one point it did start downpouring (we went during rainy season) and Sunchen was able to navigate us around the super flooded parts.
We had done two days of tuktuks and not only did Sunchen skip parts we already saw so we could spend more time at newer (to us) sites, but he also took us along the back roads/bike paths that you couldn't go on tuktuk or simply walking. We saw some incredible sites we could not have seen without this tour and it was such a cool way to see everything. We met up with our driver a few times for snacks and breaks, and just had a great tour overall. If you're not horrible on a bike and not afraid to get a little dirty (and I wore white linen pants so you'll be fine!), you should absolutely do this tour.

This was an active and interesting tour, and we saw some really neat sights. It was a little tiring but it was a hot day and we done a lot of steep stairs.

Really enjoyed seeing so much of the countryside in between temples and mountains.

We were picked up right at the night bus stop. The timetable is very spontaneous and the guide very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the whole day and learned a lot about Kratie.
