- TxMike202526 contributionsI recently visited Trang Beach and, unfortunately, my experience was marred by an unfortunate incident. While the beach itself is beautiful, I felt compelled to share my experience to warn others. While I was enjoying my time at the beach, I left my beach bag, which contained my cellphone & money & some personal items near my spot on the sand to take a swim. When I returned, my bag was gone. I was devastated to find that someone had stolen it. It was incredibly frustrating and upsetting, as I was on vacation and had hoped to enjoy my time without worrying about my belongings. Although I understand that incidents like this can happen anywhere, I felt that the beach's overall lack of visible security or surveillance made it a prime spot for opportunistic theft. I would strongly recommend taking extra precautions and being extremely vigilant with your belongings, especially when visiting this beach. - SagitaurDa Nang, Vietnam874 contributionsBooked a trip with Vitamin Sea Travel and was picked up at our hotel in a new 7 seat sedan by Mr John and his driver around 8.40. John advised that we had another passenger to pick-up (which was a surprise) and we spent another 20 minutes driving around Nha Trang looking for Tom.
We were finally on our way to Ba Ho Waterfall around 9!
It took a forty minute drive to get there and then our real journey started. He had an easy walk of about 15 minutes from the entry up to the start of the 3 lake waterfall climb. I must admit that we were in the dry season and it was evident all around Nha Trang that it was extremely dry and there had not been rain for a long time (apart from the day we arrived 2 days before)!
I must say that the concept of 3 lakes is a total misnomer; it was safe to say, from this visit, that there were 3 small natural water pools making up the waterfall complex. However, the climb from Lake 1 to Lake 3 was quite steep and for someone expecting a leisurely stroll was quite surprising. The trail was well marked and included support ropes and other climbing aids (metal hand and footholds) which assisted the climb. Getting to Lake 2 was a bit more difficult and to Lake 3 was much more difficult. You really need to wear solid walking or sports shoes to complete the trek.
We reached Lake 3 after about 30 minutes and there we were able to have a swim. The highlight being nibbled on by small fish at no extra charge!
The walk back was obviously “all down hill” and a lot quicker.
However, I was left to wonder “where were the waterfalls”? As mentioned at the start it was the dry season but the impressive waterfalls displayed in the promo-photos were non-existent.
The Ba Ho complex itself is well-managed, kept clean and tidy, and provide food and beverage availability, toilet and shower facilities, and a nice and well equipped swimming lagoon at the entry. My daughter asked me to mentioned the various swings located at strategic spots along the trek.
We were there for about 2 1/2 hours and were quite hungry when we hit the road back to town. John took us to a small local restaurant where we enjoyed noodles with fish cakes and pork knuckle accompanied by cold tea.
Our trip finished with a 30 minute foot massage performed by blind masseurs.

- Klinsi18Sydney, Australia94 contributionsLocated not too far from Nha Trang city centre, it’s a good experience for the whole family. We (3 adults, 2 young children) travelled on our own and arrived 8:30am and it wasn’t very busy; only a few bus loads of tourists there too. There are signs everywhere in various languages explaining the different packages and fees, but you can save time and check out this info on their website beforehand to save time. We wanted the food package but was told it wasn’t available, and just to eat whatever is available from the restaurant. The place in general is fairly neat. At checkin we are provided a blue bath towel, locker key and a bathing suit (as we requested); the mud sticks and hard to wash out so it’s a good idea to borrow their bathing suit. We were given our own mud tub and after it was filled with mud, we are told we have 20 mins. Someone will monitor the time and remind you when your time is up. After a shower, we changed into our own bathers for the mineral spring pools. Only a number of pools were in operation and some pools were empty, this might be due to low number of visitors. There is a person/lifeguard on watch at each pool. We stayed for about 3 hour but you can easily enjoy the facilities for a whole day. - Rupal Tejani49 contributionsThap Ba Mud Bath is set in the most idyllic setting…. Forest , garden all natural contours.The mud bath is so amazing… not at all sticky and seems somehow therapeutic.Also well laundered costumes and towels provided along with locker facilities…
The pools all different temperatures, jet spray tunnels and jacuzzi was the perfect start to my morning.
Also the property was clean and charming.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the staff could have been more attentive and trained .

Nah Trang area is in a major state of construction from the airport to Amiana Resort and beyond. A lot of places are in stages of non-completion, in fact it seems a number have been abandoned. This was an issue with the first room we had allocated as it looked out onto an abandoned resort complex with the associated building detritus. Not a good look hence a change to a room looking out over the main bay area. After the change it was fantastic.
The staff at the resort are the friendliest resort staff we have ever met. They seem genuinely delighted to assist and that extends beyond just the resorts activities and activities connected to the resort. They helped my wife and I with a number of contacts and arrangements for things we wanted to do. I was impressed with the language skills of the staff [so much better than my skills]. All staff do mandatory second language classes and gain yous see them willingly engage with the guests using the second language. Well done to Amiana staff for that
You MUST do the mud bath experience - a first timer was I - and it was a real treat. Another must is the 4 handed massage.
The breakfast options were amazing, so much that I never had my traditional eggs.
Another must is the Mango Colada.
Rooms were very good and the outdoor shower / bath experience is another winner.

- Alex Jones-KuoGeneva, Switzerland19 contributionsGreat experience diving in Nha Trang! We were a relatively small group (7 people) and my husband and I were the only two people with diving certifications. We had a divemaster to ourselves while the others did a discovery dive.
Long, our divemaster, was great, pointing out several small fish and even a small water snake! He was always very aware of our location, ringing a bell underwater to keep us aware of where we were.
The entire crew was very focused on our safety, helping us triple check everything before going into the water.

Vu was an incredible tour guide and helped make our journey special. The motorcycles were perfect for the roads and matched with our ability well. There were times (such as riding through the traffic in Dalat and through washed out back roads outside of Nha Trang) where we were beyond our skill level and found riding difficult but Vu was patient with our abilities and experienced with helping us through the challenges we faced. I would recommend taking this tour outside of the rainy season to avoid any issues with washed out roads and if you do not have experience riding in heavy scooter traffic understand that it may be a bit challenging at first.
