Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- PocahantusMontpellier, France31 contributionsThe house was beautifully preserved allowing one to truly imagine was life was probably like when it was inhabited long ago. I felt a certain serenity while strolling through the rooms and courtyards.Written 1 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Cliff PPatong, Thailand14 contributionsWas worth the walk to have a look at the B52 wreck and the Mig Fighter.
We also went through the gallery of photos that were quite interesting (unfortunately, a lot was behind 80th anniversary decoration/posters during our vusit but we did squeeze through to see it all).
No cost.Written 12 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Tc Vagabond Foodhound.32 contributionsConsult the website for hours.
Only Communist era covered. Highly propagandistic but modern and well temperature managed.
Not a must-see by any means but very sensible walk through after Hoa Lo / Hanoi Hilton prison.Written 6 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The history of Vietnam's longest-serving Minister of Education might not inspire everyone. But, this is more than just that. This is a home that has become a shrine to a family and ultimately a man whose life spanned so much of modern Vietnam history. Heck, he was friendly with Ho Chi Minh! And, the tour was provided by the granddaughter in law of the man himself. The visit started with some tea (or cool water) and then a tour of the garden. After that, we went through the four floors of photos and documents. It was actually incredibly interesting.Written 20 April 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Huyen Trang NHanoi, Ha Noi, Vietnam1 contributionI incidentally came here last month in my friend's birthday. We enjoyed buffet on 17th restaurant. Then we saw a brochure about Gems Garden on 5th-6th fl.
The tour assistant- a lovely girl welcomed us with a bright smile. She gave us about history of gems through mock up area. It's quite interesting. Then introducing about gems in Vietnam, visiting Gems Museum- the only gems museum in Vietnam. There are very detail and exciting information as well as kinds of gems stone in here. We were attracted by some their treasures such as Gold & Gems Blossom Tree (Thien Kim Bach Ngoc), Around-the-world- gems wonder (Van Dam Ky Chau), The great precious Ruby...In addittion, we were provided more knowledges about the usage of gemstone, discover the mysterious relation between the stones and myself through birthstone, jewelry and fengshui stone store. They had a luxury and professional shopping area. And there is a Vietnamese Handicraft and Traditional Art Performing upstair.Written 23 November 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TheLeongOhanaUnited States7,666 contributionsFrom the outside the museum it has a cool design but the exhibits inside were a mixed bag.
To me there was too many disparate exhibits that did not make for a cohesive experience.
The most interesting ones for me were:
1. Ho Chi Minh- on the top floor with photos and memorabilia
2. White Strips Room - Hundreds or even thousands of white strips hanging from the ceiling. A place for hide and seek?
3. The Circular Ramp - It was the only walkway up to all the floors. Here so many young Vietnamese were posing for photos or being recorded walking up and down.
The weirdest ones were:
1. Stuffed Animals - some eye popping stuffing gone wrong
2. Art Exhibit - not sure who the artist or artists were but there was too much of the same style.
On another visit the Vietnam International Junior Fashion Week was setup in front of the museum.
If not for staying at the JW Marriott then I would not have visited.Written 3 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - SiffreyaExeter, UK36 contributionsApart from a group of young police officers we were the only people in this free to enter museum. On entering you a greeted by a larger than life statue of Ho Chi Minh in air conditioned comfort.
The museum documents the history of the Vietnamese Security Services from the start of the French war to the current with a large series of photos, artefacts such as old radios and weapons and the occasional modelled scene. Each item has a description in Vietnamese and English.
If you are interested in the history of the conflicts in Vietnam this museum is a must see, it's very different and explains what happened in the country from a slightly different angle (although it's as biased as every other museum we visited, but that's fair enough).Written 4 June 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ColinGJCanterbury, UK26 contributionsThis is on the top floor of the Women's Museum. It hosts temporary exhibitions of art by and about women. It is not a large space - one large room. It is worth having a look at as part of a visit to the Women's Museum, which is recommended. There also seem to be some children' art activities here too.Written 26 January 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
