- Maximilian.ham000Beckum, Germany1 contributionA very interesting place in Dalat that you must experience. The architecture here is interesting, it is recycled from glass and many other things.Written 31 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jajavalBLampang, Thailand3,939 contributionsThis lake has esplanade along with flower garden, coffee shop, restaurant , there are also food hawkers around there, so you can buy snack, light meal to enjoy while sitting or strolling around, like locals. - Кирилл С25 contributionsIt's 4 stars not 5 because of the price.
250 000 dong that's quite a lot.
But I had a really interesting experience here.
I came to the place at 16:30.
They close at 17:00.
I asked for a permission to walk in the park after 17:00
The dusk was settling in. Then it became dark. I was walking alone. In the dark. Making beautiful pictures with the statues of Love inside. Then I stood there on top looking at the lights of the night city. Listening to the wind, the music and distant sounds from the city streets. I found a big butterfly on the road. It looked like a palm leaf. I thought it was a leaf in the beginning.
It was a unique experience.Written 27 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Located on a hill overlooking Tuyen Lam Lake, the monastery offers a tranquil, lush atmosphere. On my first visit, I felt a profound sense of calm and peace in every corner. The carefully maintained bonsai gardens and stone paths up the hillside create a soothing space for the soul. Standing at the top, I could take in the beautiful surrounding views. Truc Lam Zen Monastery is the ideal stop for anyone seeking calm and relaxation during their Da Lat trip.Written 28 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Cassandra B199 contributionsThis was well worth the 150,000 vnd return. A pleasant trip up to the monastery on a hot day.
The views were great and so was the monastery. - H D1 contributionThe description of Bao Dai's palace on Trip Advisor is factually incorrect: "Bao Dai was ousted by Ho Chi Minh in 1945."
Correction: On September 2, 1945, Uncle Ho declared independence from the French and the most recent occupiers, the Empire of Japan. (After the dropping of US nuclear bombs, Japan surrendered to the Allied powers in August 1945.) Bao Dai abdicated to Ho Chi Minh's party, the Viet Minh, and handed over the official seals to the communists. Seeing how Bao Dai, the 13th emperor of the Nguyen dynasty was still influential and symbolic of Vietnam's history, Ho Chi Minh asked Bao Dai to become an advisor to the newly formed Democratic Republic of Vietnam (DRV) as a private citizen. Bao Dai agreed to this arrangement initially although he ended up self-exiled to Hong Kong soon after. Four years later, Bao Dai returned as the Chief of State (not king or emperor) under the Associated States of France (French reclaimed Vietnam militarily twenty days after Ho Chi Minh proclaimed the DRV). He attempted to use his influence for Vietnam's independence from France, with limited success.Written 23 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
