- Kevin S12 contributions👍😁 There were three of us and we all really enjoyed it. The scenery was beautiful and some even otherworldly. The activities were very interesting and intriguing. Personally, I thought the program was well planned and managed by the staff. There were many people on the boat, but you always felt there was enough space for yourself. Our lunch was included as were snacks and soft drinks throughout the day - all excellent quality. Our guide Goodies was just brilliant, we loved him and he really made the day super fun. - Chris G1 contributionAmazing experience, very wholesome and rewarding to see the elephants living their later life in peace. The construction of the hospital is exciting and look forward to following its development. Being able to feed and be up close to the elephants but at the same time knowing they are not confined and free to roam. Staff were very professional and shared lots of information. Hospitality and food is excellent. Highly recommend and hope it helps to change the lives of more elephants that are sadly still trapped in shows and being forced into labour. - Brett S7 contributionsThe sanctuary was a great experience. They take good care of the elephants and you can tell when you see how happy they are. The guides spoke great English and answered a lot of in-depth questions about the elephants care. You also get to feed the elephants fruit. She is very knowledgeable with the area and looked after everyone. We reached the location very early and it was quiet and beautiful,less crowded. Also food they provide is amazing also as a vegetarian it was a delight.All the team were kind and very professional. - Brett S7 contributionsThe zipline was fun and the guides on that tour were a lot of fun. They also ensured we were safe the entire way through. The guides even helped take photos and videos of us on the line to get better videos.
The ATV was also very fun and they took us by big Buddha for photos. The ATV guide showed us how to operate them and started to get up to high speeds toward the end which was fun. My only criticism is we booked the two hour ATV, but there wasn’t really enough course to warrant a two hour ride and it started to get repetitive at the end. I still recommend this but would suggest the 60 or 90 minute drive.
Lastly, the course is very muddy. - Elisabeth E26 contributionsFantastic. An amazing sanctuary dedicated to rescuing old and disabled elephants to give them a great retirement. We chose it as there is no human bathing or washing elephants and it is ethical. The canopy walkway was excellent, they served us delicious drinks and snacks and the guides were so friendly and knowledgeable.
