Travelled 1 hour to visit from Patong but was worth the journey.
This charity has grown in size each year and the cost to keep it going also increase.
Check out their website for guided tour times.
Heart-rending videos of street cats and dogs being helped will hopefully show you the work this great charity continues up do.
Have now sponsored animals on seeing 1st hand what is needed to help.

Great beach, fairly quiet but with plenty of bars/restaurants, stayed here for 3 weeks in May and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday.

We went with our rental motorbikes and walk down to the beach which taken about 15 minutes. Very beautiful beach and on that day we were the only visitors down there.

A great way to see monkeys free ranging - interesting that there were a lot of bananas around. I would have thought that feeding would have been discouraged. Keep your distance though as apparently they can bite

Location is convenient in Patong but almost all shops are closed except bank and pharmacy in basement.
A supermarket Big C is there at some walking distance.

It’s a must in Phuket. The view from the top cannot be experienced anywhere else. I did a small prayer before the Monk. He gave a very peaceful feeing. There are few religious items on sale which will help in the further construction of Statue.

We love visiting this viewpoint. We always hire motorbikes and take a ride through Kata and up the hill to the viewpoint. There is a nice cafe on the way up the hill on the left that serves cakes, coffees and shakes. Z
Often at the viewpoint you can pay to have amazing photos holding a white falcon, and you can see amazing views of the beaches along the coast towards Kata and Karon. Great photo point on a clear day.

The last time we visited Bangla road, the sandbox had just started & the walking street was dead, in darkness & empty.
Almost 12 months later, Bangla Road is back in business. The street vendors are back hawking their wares with more persistence than ever. The crowds are back. The bad pub singers are back & the bar Girls are back dancing As un-enthusiastically as ever.
It’s real sensory overload. It’s depressing as hell but it’s a must see. Maybe not if you have kids though.
And no I don’t want to buy a suit.

This is in old Phuket town. It opens only on Sunday from 4 PM. It has food, decorative items, cloths etc. It has authentic and original restaurants selling coffee and Thai food. Shopping is little expensive, stuff is good. This kind of stuff is not found anywhere in Phuket, Pattaya etc

Not crowded. Impressive walking beach. Can get dirty by end of the day from the ocean bringing in debris.

Beach is perfect for families and safe for swimming. Laid back with enough of options of food, restaurants, bars, massage parlors without being too overwhelming.
I have been to most beaches in Phuket and Kata for me has always been a favourite. Not the noise of Patong or the quiet of Kamala, but just in between.

This beach is beautiful and has a gorgeous sunset, but I don’t recommend it for swimming. The waves are very rough, and right now they have jellyfish in the water. It’s not a very good beach to walk on, as the sand is course but soft so your feet sink easily. It is close to Turtle Village and many of the resorts are on this beach.

four of us hired a longboat from Rawai beach for 1500 baht. the trip across to Banana Beach in itself was great and took about 30 mins. We passed the slightly larger Long Beach on our way to Banana Beach by choice. It was beautiful. Nice sandy beach and 100 baht got you a deckchair. All usual facilities available. Sea warm and full of colourful fishes. Views to die for. Also some Watersport available. We went in the pm and my only regret is not going for the full day.

Definitely worth experiencing one of those things you can only see in Thailand . Background music is too loud but otherwise enjoyable

Great views and photo ops and nice place to see sun rise or set. Sight is free to visit and walk around. Recommend to wear walking shoes and bring camera and water
