Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- T HowieKilmarnock, UK14 contributionsThom was our guide for our day at the sanctuary, his knowledge and love for the Elephants made the day that more enjoyable! He also speaks great English and has a good sense of humour! It’s educational which I loved. Getting to make food for the elephants, bathe with them and get up close and personal was amazing. Knowing that the elephants are rotated each day, and taken care of makes it more relaxing to go to. Very ethical! These trainers love the animals and care for them the best they can. You can also buy photos at the end of the day & a souvenir shop is also on the grounds. Great day!!Written 23 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Charlotte B9 contributionsWe had a fantastic time at Elephant Sanctuary Care Park yesterday. Eddie was a fantastic host and it was really obvious how much his elephants mean to him. Our small group got to watch Tomato and Papaya in their environment as well walked through the park with them as well as spending time feeding them. The elephants were free to do their own thing at all times and it all felt like a very relaxed atmosphere for these beautiful animals.
Only our small group of three were there for a very calm peaceful experience.
Definitely the highlight of our holiday and I will be recommending to friends without a doubt.Written 16 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The three story building in the middle of the market is full of produce, meat, and other items for locals to buy. There are plenty of stalls in the streets surrounding the building containing everything from gold to souvenirs. If you have never been to an Asian market this one will definitely feel exotic to you.Written 9 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ella a1 contributionWe attended the one-day retreat hosted by Phra KK. He was a well-experienced monk who presented in a wholly entertaining way! We learnt the basics of Buddhism and meditation through meditation practice and an interactive presentation given by KK. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone with an interest in Buddhism and Thai culture whilst in Chiang Mai!!!Written 14 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Thomas R11 contributionsNatty was amazing from the beginning and it was a wonderful experience learning to cook thai food in the farm in the countryside where there is an organic herbal garden filled with amazing plants and flowers. I would highly recommend this thai experience for and avid foodie .Written 10 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JellyBSingapore, Singapore897 contributionsThere is plenty of local food and if you aren’t crafted out by this stage (after visiting different markets in Chiangmai), there is a good selection here.
For the food, we really really liked the freshly steamed filled rice rolls (in Singapore/Malaysian we call them chee cheong fun) and man! these were super delicious. They come in 8 different flavors and guess what? It’s 8 to a portion so if you can’t decide what to have, just have one of each!!!
The mango sticky rice was one of the better ones we had too. The glutinous rice was cooked to a light and fluffy texture. Perfect!!!
Besides the food, the mall was the perfect excuse to hide away from the afternoon sun. My friend got a massage, I raided the supermarket looking for local snacks and had a nosey around the mall for local Thai brands.
Good for passing away 2-3 hours. Have fun.Written 4 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Fabulous day, beautiful food and surroundings and amazing elephants, looked after expertly by the keepers. This is a very hands on experience done in an ethical way without bringing any harm to the elephants.Written 7 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GvaTouristBangkok, Thailand149 contributionsI really love to walk along the road surround the village. There are many shops that sell products, range from big wooden furniture to stylistic wooden vase and crafts. If you are the one who love decorating your home, you will love this place. I visit this place many times but still love to be there if I have time. Reasonable price. Some products are the same as the ones you find in the night market of CM but I like to buy directly from the producers. It may be a bit in-convenient to travel there if you don't have a car.Written 30 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mostoHong Kong, China4,336 contributionsThis is a pretty good size shopping mall in a town like Chiangmai. It has a few floors with a cinema and a floor for restaurants. Other shops are mainly clothes, souvenirs, luggage, sportswear. We just walked around and I managed to buy something for myself. It’s not crowded on a weekday.Written 20 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- jlm1021Las Vegas, NV11 contributionsI can’t recommend this cooking class enough! I don’t usually enjoy cooking, but I was told this experience was a must, and I’m so glad I took their advice. Im, the instructor, was absolutely incredible—so fun, engaging, and full of energy. She made the whole experience not only enjoyable but memorable. I had an absolute blast and can’t imagine having a better time.
Im’s personality is infectious, and her passion for cooking made the class feel more like hanging out with a good friend than a formal lesson. I seriously wish I could cook with her every night! If you’re considering this class, don’t hesitate—it’s worth every minute.
Thanks, Im, for such a fantastic experience!Written 17 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
