- cadgodLivermore, CA34 contributionsBangkok’s Airport Rail link is most convenient and cost effective way to get to Suvarnabhumi International. The line runs through Bangkok city center. It has only 8 stops. It takes approximately 40 minutes at most to get to the airport (Google for some strange reason thinks it takes 2 1/2 hours) from the beginning of the line. It’s scheduled for 1 train every 10 minutes ( it did as we were leaving on a Sunday of H. M. Birthday on July 28). At 35 Baht = $1.25 U. S. it can’t be beat on cost. There are buses/subways that can take you to the various stations and each station is about 2-3 miles apart. Unfortunately it is a cash only system and tokens can be bought at the kiosk on the platform. I had a great time in Ayutthaya.
The driver can speak Japanese, also if I have still time to go around, he took us to go to some places. Thank you for everything! Once to take me from Bangkok to Hia Hin and to return from Hua Hin to Bangkok two weeks later to travel home. Picked me up at the hotel and dropped me off at the condo and vice versa on the second trip. Always early. Ready to go. Courteous. Great communication. Reasonable rates. We booked his service for a day trip to Kanchanaburi from Bamgkok, and another 2 days 1 night trip to Khao Yai. He is very accommodating, friendly, drives us safely to our destinations, recommend good places to visit, provide excellent service from start till end, and he even took beautiful photos of us using his DSLR as an added service! His van is so new, we were the 3rd client to enjoy his luxurious,comfortable and spacious van. His rates are affordable too! His team of other drivers are also good, we had Mr Jarandon to fetch us from Suvarnabhumi airport upon arrival, and Mr Tee to send us to the airport to depart back to our country. - Thiru KSurrey, Canada1 contributionDuring our recent Thailand stop over vacation, Thoon helped us starting from airport pickup onwards, along with two days in and around Bangkok sightseeing, and final drop at airport.
Thoon planned the entire itinerary for us to visit as family in and around Bangkok for entire 2 days.
He is very good in timely communication starting from my initial message and for every day pickup along with car number, driver photos and on time pickup. We were so happy to get help from Thoon and company. We loved the entire trip and able to visit multiple Buddha temples in Bangkok, Grand palace, Train market, Floating market, Elephant safari, river boat ride, mall visit etc in just two days.
Highly recommend for any taxi/tour service in Thailand. Always on time and waiting, earlier than scheduled appointed time. Mr Kesem was especially helpful - able to recommend alternative places when the eatery shops we wanted to go were closed. He also introduced some spots for us to visit. Van was huge, clean and spacious, with bottled cold water provided.

We decided for Siam Service because it was more expensive than the competition. The more you pay, the more value you get, don’t you?
Well, no.
The driver was almost on time, we only had to wait 5 minutes. He didn’t speak a word of English, but he was well instructed and made 2 stops at service stations, where we could buy drinks and snacks, and use the rather clean restrooms.
Nothing to complain, nothing to get exited about.
But:
The car, a Toyota SUV, was very old. Too old. It had 320,000 km on the counter, which means it was driven 8 times around the world, before he picked us up. It wasn’t dirty, but too old to be clean. The seats were sagging and the suspension completely worn out. The trip felt like a 5 hours flight through heavy turbulence. Not funny. My back hurt on arrival. Not funny at all.

And Siam Service didn’t contact us afterwards to ask how all went. They seem not interested.

From booking with them, they are super responsive via email. They will send a reminder the day prior with the driver information. On my arrival at the airport, they also sent us an email with a picture of the sign and where the person is at, making it easy for us to locate them.

To all those ppl traveling to Pattaya via bangkok and wish to travel cheap then i must recommend that once u land in bangkok then first thing u cn do is go to the second floor of the airport and buy a local sim card with internet. There are 2 types of offers available 1- for 8 days and 2- for one month and the charges are 300 baht. After this you go to the ground floor to gate number 8 there u will get the bus ticket to go to Pattaya and the charges for the bus one way is 130 baht. Before taking the bus, please check whr will the bus drop you and whr is your hotel located. Please tell the driver he will guide you whr to get down or since u hav bought a local sim you can see it for yourself. The bus takes about 2 hours to reach Pattaya and the last bus if im not wrong is at 18:00 hours. So plan your flight accordingly.
