Now I noticed there are more English signboards (compared to 2017-18) and descriptions for various BTS stations with nearby tourists attractions,

We were going out to the JJ weekend market which is quite away out of the center and we noticed there were two MRT stations right there.
This system was clean, modern, quicker than driving and very inexpensive. When you come in there are vending machines for ride tokens in English. The staff were very helpful and the signage is excellent. We got to our destination quite easily and would definitely use the system again and recommend it to others.

Love to travel on the khlongs when in Bangkok - a real experience to travel like local away from the more touristy parts. Great access to the Golden Mount. An experience to be recommended.

A beautiful building. Easy to navigate. Easy ticketing system. There are a lot of shops for food and to read.

A nice way to get to see the different sites, or to just spend time on the river on a nice day. It goes to all the major attractions and eateries on the river.

Great journey on the night train from BKK to Padang Besar where we crossed the border. We bought the tickets directy at the train station the same day, got 1 lower and upper berth which was 1800 THB for the 2 of us. Boarded the17 hour long train which departed on time and almost arrived on time at the thai-malay border. We had ordered dinner from the steward that came shortly after boarding ( curry /rice set menus for about 120 THB each), but at nearly every stops, you have locals getting on board with snacks and food for way cheaper. We were served dinnet at the time requested ( 7pm or 8pm) , then got our beds made by the same steward. We could fit 2 people on the lower berth, and it was very quiet all night. Great trip and way cheaper than flying !

You get what you pay for. It was a cheap way for us to get from Koh Pha-ngan to Krabi and although we got there on time from my experience it’s worth paying more for to go with someone else. Nothing wrong with the ferry trip, it’s slow but spacious and the seats were pretty comfy.

The bus trip wasn’t great though as the driver kept making unplanned stops for some reason and gave us no communication as to why he kept stopping. The seat cut my leg up because it had some random sharp bits sticking out but they recline pretty good.

I’ve read some pretty bad reviews and although we didn’t have the best experience we still got there on time and we got what we paid for.

Hard to find the sign for Van/Bus. I have online ticket that i bought at 12goasia.com (Van), when i ask to some of the staff, they didn't see my print out ticket and direct me to bus platforms. another staff see our ticket and tell us where is my platforms but hard to find the sign that show the van platforms. Thankful another staff lead us the way to our platforms.

The platforms for van are in the first floor.
For Bus in the second floor.
its a huge area like a mall, many stores and 7 eleven too.

Our hotel was situated close to the canals and this was the first time we had used the
canal network to discover the delights of Bangkok. The boats run frequently and cost no more than 15bht. Getting on and off some of the boats can be a challenge and you need to know where to get off. Having the right change or small currency is also a good idea. It’s a great way to see the real Bangkok

There is not a great deal to look at. There is a Wat with some animals, all very nice. There are a couple of ferries busily chugging backwards and forwards to the other side and there is the general river scene which is ever changing and quite interesting. There are some food shops and street food but nothing much else.

The main attraction point at this pier for foodies is 'Wang Lang Market'. It's one of the favorite markets of Thai food expert Mark Wiens. The area also offers special interest for the fans of writer 'Lawrence Osborne' who resided here for several years while writing the classic 'Bangkok Days'. Wander around further towards Wat Rakang and you'll find a neighborhood with a unique charm and less high octane fueled than the neighborhoods at the opposite side of the river. Ideal for some strolling around.

If you're staying near the airport link, it's the best and fastest way to get to the airport without bartering for a good fare. Reasonable pricing, many entry and exit points along the way. Plus it's safe, reliable and affordable.
