We booked this cruise for our family Christmas Eve dinner celebration. The temples, bridges and hotels were all lit up in the evening. Was so beautiful to see!! And wow. The new Iconsiam shopping mall was breathtaking. So opulent.

The cruise was smooth. No issues with seasickness.

However.... it took a long time to board. Part of the issue was having to take the obligatory photos before you board which caused delays. Meanwhile, people who already boarded had started in at the buffet.

When we finally got seated, a lot of the food (sushi) had run out. They just shut it down as there was no more left. The other hot food was plentiful and at various stations around the ship. Most of it was meh. Just ok.

But we didn’t take this dinner cruise for the food. It was for the beautiful views of the Chao Phraya River, and the beautiful weather in December. The memories and the photos.

The live band was good but it a tad too loud. Couldn’t hear each other talking. Music was good but sometimes we just wanted to talk amongst ourselves. And we couldn’t.

The Views made it worth going.

The pick process was horrible. The driver was waiting outside without notice that he had arrived. He should have had a sign up with my name on the lobby as the trip started about 30 minutes late. Afterwards everything was amazing. We requested not to go to the

chocolate factory because of severe allergies we visited many other places such as a mushroom farm, sunflower farm and the PB valley vineyard. We didn't follow the set itinerary from TripAdvisor which was great and went to places we wanted to. In the end the driver was a nice guy, just needs more practice in pick ups.

I have actually lived in Bangkok for a while now, but decided to mix things up and give something new a try. I am SO happy that I did. I saw a side of this city that I, even having lived here myself, have never seen!

First off the bars are super cool. A rooftop bar, beer pong (I didn't even know Thailand had beer pong) and then a secret bar I never would have known even existed. I was blown away that I've been here, even been to the same area, and never knew anything about these places. I thought I had local knowledge, but our guide had some next level intel on this place.

Which brings me to the guide, D. She was the glue that held this amazing experience together. She honestly made the entire thing feel like we were just a group of friends hanging out in Bangkok together. She was cracking jokes, getting people involved, and helping us out (I think she even helped a dude book a flight!). She was easily the best host I've had on Air B&B, and that's saying a lot.

Recommending this experience is an understatement. If you want to make the most of your time in Bangkok, whether you've been here before and especially if you've never been, then you NEED to let D show you the way. It'll be the best decision you make on this trip, I promise.
