- Keilani L1 contributionWhat an incredible experience! The owner of this unique café is incredibly kind, and it’s clear that the animals are treated with the utmost care and love. Each animal was well-groomed and seemed to be thriving in their environment. The café itself spans five floors, each dedicated to different species, all of which have been rescued and given a new chance at life.
Among the animals, you’ll find dormice, sugar gliders, pigs, dogs, guinea pigs, bunnies, and hedgehogs. Despite their natural tendencies, the animals were surprisingly calm and gentle, even playful, making it a great place for children.
As someone who suffers from severe allergies, I was particularly impressed with how clean and well-maintained the space was. Remarkably, I only experienced a minor rash or two, which is saying a lot given my usual reactions.
The owner’s intention in creating this café was purely out of compassion and a desire to provide these animals with a loving home, while also educating visitors about their needs and behaviors. It’s heartening to know that this initiative is helping to secure a future for others of the same species.
It is also tourist-friendly as the owner speaks good english and there are translations everywhere!
The interior is spotless, and the atmosphere is welcoming, making it an overall amazing experience. This is a hot little shop where the owner (he's Swiss) takes pride in his place and his coffee. They also make a few coffee drinks with flavorings and other interesting twists.
