Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Definitely worth a visit. We went on a full day tour of Bangkok temples during weekday. Was crowded.

My life and time and saver. The best affordable way to travel around Bangkok from point A to point B. The only challenge is most Thai people don't understand English so trying to get info is difficult.

Less strict for exposing legs than Bangkok sites such as the Grand Palace however it’s still expected to cover below the knee and shoulders.

He is a pretty big Buddha! Lovely monument with great views from the top of the mountain you would likely have driven up. There are many other smaller statues to see also and an area where the monks will bless you and performing prayers.

If catching a grab be aware you’ll likely need them to wait on you to return as taxis aren’t sitting up here, the good news is, at least for us is that our driver was happy to wait an hour for us to get around without charging us extra.

Beautiful temple. Worth a visit. City tower is buried under the ground level. Men are allowed to enter this part, but not women. The oldest and biggest pagoda of Chiang Mai is located here in damaged state.

We booked bkktours on a private vehicle fir myself and husband. We were met by the guide, Air. She speaks good English.
We had an amazing vehicle, the sort with lots of lights inside, like a discotheque.
The driver, Don was very polite. Every time we got back into the vehicle after visiting the temple. He would had out bottles of ice cold water and wet towels.
    It was luxury service.
Air, the guide was totally knowledgeable too.
Everything this company planned, from picking us up at hotel to finish was impeccable.
I really could not find any fault even if I wanted to.
We experience a short cable car ride across a river, we also had a long 40 min long tail boat ride.
The highlight was of course the Buddha head stuck on roots of bodhi tree.
We saw the enormous stone buddha ( lying down)
We also saw the gold sitting buddha indoors.
Air, prebooked a lunch venue for us to have lunch by the river.
We ended having coffee at one lovely place overlooking the ruins.
We had such a great time.
I totally recommend bkktours. Be care though, there’s another company with the ‘s’.
    It was lovely

We had such a wonderful time from start to finish! Andy was a fantastic guide and so knowledgeable about all things Thailand and the sanctuary. Seeing the bond between the caretakers and the elephants was so special and we were so grateful to have this experience. Would highly recommend.

Great afternoon out, they are doing an amazing job for animals across Thailand and it is a heart warming experience. You get to meet some of the animals who are a bundle of joy!

Brilliant fun! The park isn’t massive but has a variety of “big rides” where you share a huge raft with several other people and narrower chutes which you ride alone or in pairs. There’s also a lazy river which is really long & relaxing, and a wave pool leading to a beach feel area. We booked this as a package through a third party as we hadn’t realised that you needed to book two days in advance if booking directly, and got lockers, towels & buffet included in the price for little more than the cost of booking directly, which was great. All in all, we expected a reasonable day out- but found this to be absolutely brilliant.

EVERY time I come to Chiang Mai I always visit Wat Phra Singh because the temple is such a striking place to come to.
Work to build it began nearly seven centuries ago and construction or renovation has ebbed and flowed ever since.
I particularly like the golden elephants half emerging on each side of the main chedi.
Take the time just to sit down on one side and enjoy the site for the visual pleasure it gives.
Wat Phra Singh can be easily reached since it is roughly in the centre of the Old City and every tuktuk or taxi driver knows it. Should not cost more than 100 baht (about £2.40) to get there.

Very impressive UNESCO site. First of all, I recommend that you rent a bicycle from one of the many shops near the park entrance. You will then have easier access to the temples inside and outside the park. Cost is just 30 thb regardless of how long you have the bike, and you then pay an additional 10 thb entry fee for the bicycle. I spent about 90 minutes inside the park. Did not spend any time looking for souvenirs. The temples are in very good condition, considering their age, and especially when compared to the condition of the temples of Sukhothai's little sister to the south in Kamphaeng Phet. However due to the frenetic setting of Sukhothai's historic park, set among busy streets and with tons of tourists and tacky souvenir shops, I can honestly say that I enjoyed the peaceful relaxed experience touring the temple ruins in Kamphaeng Phet much more than Sukhothai.

Silvia gave us an amazing tour of the facilities and told us about the foundations history. We then got to spend some time with the puppies, cats and injured long-term dogs. It was sad to hear about the cruel lives the dogs and cats lived before being rescued but it is great to know that someone is looking out for them and educating the next generation. We can’t wait to come back and volunteer!

Brilliant ethical elephant sanctuary trip. The team are very funny and super knowledgable. You get a chance to make and learn about elephant food, feed every elephant and have photos with them. They also have a fantastic lunch included and unlimited water bottles, tea, coffee and snacks all day,
