Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I didn’t book a guide - there really is no need because there are lots of people to ask if you have a question.

I’m staying at an ‘airport hotel’ in Lat Krabang. Most of the hotels do a shuttle service - which I took. It’s 35THB to Makkasan then skywalk to the blue line to Sanam Chai. Then a walk of 300m.
Cost of a ticket to the Grand Palace and Wat Pho is 300Bht.

The whole day including lunch - and public transport back to the hotel was under 1500 BHT. That’s £36!

The biggest Buddha statue I've ever seen in my life and worth to see in Thailand. Very traditional and authentic vibes. I had a good time.

    Such a great overall experience.
Everything worked out great. Kind staff, beautiful and kind animals, very clean facilities and tasty lunch. We are a family with an almost 3 year old and it worked for all of us. I will highly recommend visiting this great place and truly a sanctuary for the animals.

Banana Beach in Thailand is a hidden gem! The water is crystal clear, and the beach is super peaceful—perfect for relaxing or snorkeling. It feels like a little slice of paradise, away from the crowds. Definitely worth the boat ride to get there!

BTS Skytrain is a very easy way to get around in Bangkok. The train cars are well-cooled. The Skytrain runs frequently. During busy periods, the trains can be full/nearly full. BTS SkyTrain has daily operates from 06.00 – 24.00 hrs. BTS currently has two lines, Sukhumvit Line (Light Green Line) covering 60 stations from Khu Khot in the north to Kheha in the south east, and Silom Line (Dark Green Line) covering 13 stations in Silom and Sathon Roads.

An enjoyable elephant sanctuary - different aged elephants in stalls for you to feed and then they sent down to river to be bathed - and you can join in.
Friendly carers who obviously love them ...and it shows

What an amazing morning spent with the crew and of course, these amazing animals. It’s a gift to see the elephants in as natural a setting as possible for ones that have been rescued from their previous lives of abuse. Hats off to your sanctuary for ensuring there is no riding of the elephants, no bathing with them…just feeding and observing them. It was a peaceful experience and so good to know there are folks like you who care so much. If I ever win the lottery, I would be happy to buy as much land as i could in Thailand for you so you could rescue them all!! It was a pleasure to support your truly ethical sanctuary.

Fantastic day out at Ramayana. Booked return private transfers from Pattaya which were reasonable and (relatively) punctual.

The slides were brilliant fun, a great mix of high thrill and more mellow. Managed to go on every ride multiple times, arriving there at 11 and leaving about 4:30 with a stop for lunch in the middle.

My partner is gluten free and the restaurant catered for her which was a pleasant surprise as normally it's really difficult to get sorted in places like this.

Food was reasonably priced and was decent quality.

Rented a cabana which was a lovely little place to relax out the sun in privacy, highly recommend. Yes they are basic but they're cheap!

What a wonderful organization! I went on the hourlong tour and it was so lovely to hear more about their work. Soi Dog is making such a difference for the street dogs and cats in Thailand, I am really impressed with what they’ve accomplished.

Toward the end of the tour we were given the opportunity to play with some of the puppies. And the tour ended in the cat rooms, where you’re welcome to stay and play with the cats as long as you’d like.

I highly recommend visiting and supporting this incredible organization!

In 10 years time, when my visit to Koh Lanta is but a distant memory, I will still be able to recall the amazing Lanta Animal Welfare Centre. The work this team do is incredible - every one of them deserves a medal for their kindness and dedication. This visit touched me enormously. I highly, highly recommend it - it will be the most memorable thing you do on Koh Lanta.

It is true that it is included in all of the guidebooks, and there are so many different vacations to pick from that it can cause expectations to be unreasonably high. On the other hand, sailing among the islands and experiencing the beauty that they possess is a genuinely fantastic experience. It will blow your mind, and you will be happy that you decided to get on that boat.
