What travellers are saying
- CKFCT2,196 contributionsAfter hiking down from the World Peace Pagoda, we took a boat ride across the lake to Pokhara. It took about 15 minutes and lands you in the tourist area of town. Nice way to get from A to B.Written 18 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- duhozBeroun, Czech Republic5,619 contributionsOn clear day from Sarangkot you can have awesome view of mountain range, better then from Fewa lake. Early morning is the best chance, but the skyline can change quite quickly. In April some days the sky was hazy even early morning I decided not to book tour o taxi for sun rise tour (taxi usually 2000-3000 NPR) and on the day I saw clear sky I just took the cable car for 1000 NPR (about 20-30 min walk from the lake side area. Unfortunately by the time I got to Sarangkot the clouds floated over the peaks. You can also rent a motor bike to go there or just walk up as part of warm up for the trek.Written 14 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- alistair r14 contributionsIf you are doing a trek in the area of Ghorepani, you have to include Poon hill. A bit of a climb to get there (less than an hour), but the views pre-sunrise are breath-taking.Written 22 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

Tickets are quite costly as per location.Written 21 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Vishal JKolkata (Calcutta), India494 contributionsView is good and place is very easily accessible. But charges to view just fall is quite high. Charges can be reduced and view can be improved.Written 21 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- AZCasualTravelerMesa, AZ1,831 contributionsThe Gurkha Memorial Museum's main theme has to do with the history behind the military efforts in Nepal. The Nepal Gurkha soldiers are part of the British Military for many years and it has been reported that the Gurkha soldiers are some of the fiercest fighters in battle. The museum has a collection of all sorts of historic Military items - guns, rifles, uniforms, the famous Gurka knives and many photographs of places where the Gurkha soldiers had served. Quite interesting history of this military force from the past to the present day.
Note: The Museum has signs posted inside that says: "NO Photos Allowed". However, Photos outside the Museum building is OK.Written 7 May 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Sivakumar VBengaluru, India1,509 contributionsA beautiful small serene Hindu Temple for Durga Devi (known here as Bharahi ) is in the midst of a beautiful lake of clean water. Situated in the City of Pokhara, Nepal, the lake has great settings with the mountain-range in the background. There are coats , rowed by qualified persons to take you to the temple. There are kiosks which supply life jackets to the visitor for a nominal cost.
The temple is , as in most of the places in Nepal, of Pagoda style. Reasonably big area with well grown trees , the temple presents a cool place to worship and relax.Written 13 April 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Jay NSandy, UT597 contributionsI trekked with my wife and son. It's been a great experience. Unbelievable scenery, very peaceful. Sunrise on every day was being in heaven. One of the best treks in the world.Written 26 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- CKFCT2,196 contributionsOur guide took us to this temple on our way to Sarangkot. What a treat! This is the oldest Hindu temple in Pokhara. It is quite beautiful and the grounds are large so it does not feel crowded. If you are lucky, you may see a wedding party like we did! Worth a visit.Written 10 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- massoumTehran, Iran152 contributionsIt is a nice place where the tibetian refugees live in the area. So the area is full of lovely children and deliscious cheap momos and choweming. Everyday Puja is organized around 3 PM, but it was not in the day that we went, because of tibetian new year. The monks went to their families.Written 30 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Rasmus T2 contributionsWe visited 2 times pokhara with our travelling Nepal. It best place to place for long stay .
Thanks.Written 25 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - rintoulkKimberley, Canada95 contributionsWhile we were in the area of the Devi Falls we decided to visit this attraction that was only a five minute walk further. The cave is tucked away on a street of souvenir stalls. The cave has been recently renovated and is certainly busy with tourists and locals alike. It is very commercialized and the day we visited very busy as it is a sacred site for Hindus. The circular stairs (probably 500 or more!) lead down to a cave that has been carved out of the limestone rock. There are some stalactites and stalagmites once you get to the bottom but be careful as the stairs become very wet and slippery from the water that drips continuously from the limestone.Written 7 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
