This is a fine example and gives Maputo a significant 1960s landmark to add to its huge collection of Art Deco and Art Modern buildings.
This beautiful station is still in use and one of the restored historical sites of the city.
Whilst a little run-down, the structure still retains a grace and elegance that contribute to the ambience of Maputo making it one of the "must see" sights for the traveler in modern day Mozambique.

If you arrive to Maputo by flight, please pay attention to the top view of the church!
Infact, as I was site seeing one evening, I noticed they had evening masses daily and I actually attended a mass.
Fort Sao Sebastian Mozambique Island
Wonderful views from ramparts, interesting water collection system.
This is one of the key sites to visit on Mozambique Island and can be combined (ticket wise with the Governor's Palace Museum).
We had a side view mirror (glass with casing stolen?

Amazing Site in the Middle of the City
Very large space for gathering and good wind with nice view of the city.
We took a tuk-tuk from down-town and got a ride to Macuti then walked on the beach where we can have a great view of the lighthouse.
The sooner you visit this landmark the better as it is approaching an unfortunate state of ruin in a world where history is not respected.
This church could be a major site if it was invested in - I'm afraid now its just a ruin.
Vila Algarve Maputo
This must have been an incredible home once, but now a site of horrors.
