We returned 9th March from 2wk tour of Ethiopia (Addis, Lalibela, Gondar and Southern Tribal Tour).
What an incredible trip. Such friendly people everywhere. Rock churches absolutely wonderful.
Our guide in the north - Lidetu Shambal (aka ‘Chris’) with driver ‘Joshua’, could not have done more to make our visit work so well. Great company and full of insight into Ethiopia. He worked so hard to make sure we saw as much as possible and put a lot of thought into maximising our experience - suggesting great alternatives when we asked to ‘tweak’ the programme a little. Morgas (with driver Jacob ‘Yaob’) our guide did the same in the south. In fact all the staff made the trip the success it was, ensuring that we were always comfortable and well looked after. A great company! Many thanks to you all.

Fantastic day tour. Mixing natural marbles, amazing sightseeing lands, glorious relics like church's and miracles caves and a lot of wildlife such as spicy plants and endemic animals. The guide transfers his knowledge with love and patience. Don't miss it!

Yama took such good care of us, even when Ethiopian Airlines delayed a flight for a day, Yama, at no cost to us, put us up in a 5-star hotel in Addis, arranged the new flight and provided all the shuttles for us.
The guides we had were just fantastic; the food amazing and the history beyond belief.
We always felt very safe and taken care of and the Ethiopians couldn't have been nicer, more welcoming and open.
We are already planning another trip for up there.

I returned to the Omo Valley after 4 years once again with Fitsum and his associates. Despite having high expectations based upon my experience in October 2019, Omo Valley Tours FAR EXCEEDED my expectations for my return tour. Fitsum and I had communicated and corresponded regarding the timing as well as the objectives for my tour. Fitsum customized his standard tour to meet or rather to exceed my needs. Besides achieving my photographic objectives, I thoroughly enjoyed the companionship of Fitsum, Israel, and Tuko - the long drives seem to pass a little quicker with them. Fitsum, due to personally participating in the tours, can be difficult to contact due to the lack of Internet coverage in most areas. However it is well worth your efforts and patience to deal with him. He has many contacts in the area and is willing to use them to your benefit. He is a local person and speaks the language. His English is impeccable.

Wisdom assured us the best trip in Ethiopia! A full tour, a fantastic and complete 24 days program, made together and a lot of help, friendship and informations. I visited for the second time, after 10 years, this country and I felt like home, safe and happy. More, I decided to return in a couple of years. Thank you, Wisdom Ethiopia!

Tesfa tours organised for me a short (three days) trekking trip in the Tigray region, including a visit to the rock churches of the Gheralta area. The trip was perfectly organised, the places and the people were beautiful, the guides were competent and efficient, the drivers drove quite well and the food was good! It was not an easy trek, but all the difficulties were clearly explained to me beforehand and I was able to manage it pretty well, even though I am 60 years old. Summing up, I highly recommend Tesfa tours to anybody interested in really experiencing the beautiful Ethiopian culture and the fantastic Ethiopian landscapes.

I had the trip of a lifetime recently thanks to my extraordinary guide, Dave Yohannes and his wonderful team. My short 4-day trip included some of the best the country has to offer: a boat tour on Lake Tana (the source of the Blue Nile) where we visited ancient island monasteries and spotted hippos; the Blue Nile Falls; the historic castles of Ethiopian Emperors starting with that of Emperor Fasilides (1632) in Gondar as well as Fasilides's famous bath; one of Ethiopia's most beautiful churches - Debra Berhan Selassie with its incredible paintings of biblical verses; the Simien Mountain National Park including encounters with Gelada monkeys and sighting the rare Walia Ibex; the National Museum of Ethiopia in Addis Ababa, home to the remains of humans' original ancestor Lucy from 3 million years ago; Entoto Natural Park (Addis); fabulous venues to experience (and try!) traditional Ethiopian music and dancing; and more. Dave organized every detail - from the airport transfers and 4x4 vehicle/driving; local guides; and park/museum tickets to all accommodation and delicious meals, allowing for stress-free travel with maximum fun. Dave's ability to translate Amharic to English proved invaluable, and we was so warm and welcoming, not only did I feel safe as a woman traveling solo, I felt that I left with many new friends. I hope to go back for longer and to experience more of this incredible country and culture with Dave and his team.

We arranged a two-day layover in Ethiopia as part of our East Africa trip. Gino was very responsive and organized an itinerary that included a day of Addis Ababa highlights, and a one-day adventure north of Addis to the Debre Libanos Monastery and Jemma River Gorge.
Our Guide Desalegn (Dessie) rescued us from the Friday-night airport chaos, and delivered an informative, fun and tasty experience. Highlight of the Addis Abba tour was the National Museum of Ethiopia, which contains the remains of “Lucy“. The Ethiopian food was incredible, and Dessie’s confident and effective driving in Addis traffic was an added bonus. The trip to Debre Libanos was a great educational experience (the stained glass art in the Monastery is the ultimate eye candy), and the Gorge with waterfalls was spectacular.
Dessie is an amazing guide - extremely smart, cool and calm, hospitable, and funny (he can take, and deliver, a good joke).
TIA delivered what we asked for, and more, exceeding our expectations. We will definitely have TIA organize our future adventures to Northern and Southern Ethiopia. And hopefully Dessie will be our Guide/Companion/Friend.
    Great job!!! Thank you 🙏🏾
