- Jan DThunder Bay, Canada19 contributionsThis is a charming gallery on the Main Street in West End. Original art, jewelry, photography. We especially loved the driftwood angels.Written 28 February 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Sharon R3 contributionsA very short easy walk off the cruise ship. A small rustic shopping area with bars and some food stands. Local crafts and souvenirs at very good prices. We spent about an hour or less looking around the small port shopping area. Noticed that the crowds were minimal after lunch so that is a better time to go.
I would think it can get very crowded with ships sailing with full capacity. Inside stores got crowded with just 2 ships in port.
There is a duty free store selling the usual cigarettes, alcohol, perfume, etc.,Local crafts such as carved wooden animals, bowls, beaded jewelry at reasonable prices. Good prices for Tshirts and other misc, souvenir stuff. Thankfully, there were no pushy diamond sellers.
2 or 3 outdoor bars with tables and food.
One stand with the Feet Fish Spa.
Not a major shopping area, but worth getting off the ship for a change of sceneryWritten 8 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - BabsWilsonPensacola, FL60 contributionsWow... We live in some of the prettiest blue waters. When we visited this place we were amazed. Went snorkling and was amazed at the clarity and the beauty. We went to the East end and was swept off our feet. I now know why people come from everywhere to swim here.Written 19 January 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Wildfire1 contributionKarla is an accomplished Jewellery maker. Her styles and workmanship are fabulous. A trip to Roatan wouldn’t be complete without special jewelry from Karla!!! - tlp5Port Saint Lucie, FL8 contributionsThis shop creates all of their almost one of a kind crafts out of recycled materials from the island and have a huge variety of souvenirs and gifts to choose from.Written 23 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- voyagerisolNew York City, NY10 contributionsBlended rums are decent and extremely reasonably priced compared to similar buying showrooms in Central America and the Caribbean. Unless you’re staying on the farm where the rum is made, like Copal Tree Lodge in Belize, you aren’t going to get a whole start-to-finish tour.
The flavored rums, especially chocolate, is easy drinking on the rocks or neat. Rum cakes are definitely most and delicious, especially the coconut flavor. I like that their rum cakes have slightly crystalized sugar, which adds nuanced texture and extra sparks of sweetness.
A woman promptly greeted us from behind the pandemic barrier counter upon entry, guided us with samples, and left to help someone after we confirmed we had no further need of assistance. After that, we selected goods from shelves on our own, without heavy sales pressure.
We went in the afternoon after the cruise visitors had gone back to their ships to pick up things for NYC before going to West End. So it was convenient and took less than 10 minutes to taste, make decisions, and buy.Written 3 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Rachel V1 contributionMarshall was awesome. We were looking for a diamond band and had very specific needs, width, height, etc to match the engagement ring that I have had for years. We just had never bought a band and since the original ring was custom, it was difficult to find the right look. After looking at the selections, we left the store discouraged but Marshall came out running with diamond bands on four fingers telling us he had found another collection that he thought we'd like. Sure enough, we found the perfect match!! He was so patient and fun to work with and we are so happy that he helped us....if you pull into port and find yourself in DI, I recommend Marshall. You won't regret it!Written 16 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Luisa S25 contributionsBest desserts in the island! My husband and I went back twice for the Carmelita dessert which was a mix of caramel, oats, chocolate and something else delicious. My husband loved the peanut butter brownie which was made to PERFECTION. We found out about this place after doing a chocolate making class and so happy we did it. It seems like their lunch menus is also delicious but we didn’t try.Written 28 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Jesse Y5 contributionsSpent a week dicing with Seagrape Plantaion Diveshop. The divemasters were knowledgeable and fun to dive with. We were a large group, they handled everything like pros. Never went to the same site, and made our custom requests happen. Divemasters Hugo and Ricardo were great fun, and Rachel was great to work with. Looking forward to diving with them again the next time in Roatan.Written 12 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- mrvinotintoAtlanta, GA462 contributionsMy experience with RTGA was fantastic, even if I did not get to take the tour. We were supposed to dock in Roatan on April 6th on the Norwegian Breakway, but we did not dock that day (not because of bad weather nor high winds but because the captain did not like how the other ship in port was parked, and although we were listed as tendering that day, our captain opted to turn the ship around before 8am and nor tender us in; we were supposed to be in port 8am - 5pm!). Anyway, I am very salty about the cruise turning around, BUT I was very impressed with my experience with RTGA that day. I had emailed questions in advance and the manager put together a day that would have been fantastic. On the day we were supposed to dock, they were waiting for us as the ship approached, and we were in constant communication via whatsapp. When the ship turned around and did not dock, I did not even have to ask for a refund - RTGA immediately refunded me the full amount.
So, in conclusion - they were great to work with and put together a day for us that would have included fantastic snorkeling and beach time, they were at the dock on time (and could see the ship turning around - they realized there was something wrong before I did!), they processed my refund immediately. Highly recommend them!
Since we did not get to dock, I will plan to schedule the same day we had planned on another day.Written 22 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Tnnrse11Knoxville, TN47 contributionsWe enjoyed stopping at MayaK chocolate. There is a great little short presentation about cocoa pods and how chocolate is harvested, Their prices are very reasonable. The chocolate is fabulous and they do not pressure you to buy. Definitely a must do in Roatan.Written 21 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

They had lots of pcs for under $50 us.Written 6 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Debbie P1 contributionMy husband was buying me a 40 anniversary ring and Julizzo Farmin was our sales clerk.
She was amazing with showing me wonderful selections of rings and very patient. Her manager Robin Johnson was also terrific when it came time for finalizing the deal. They were very professional and I felt comfortable spending so much money as everything was documented and verified. It is also a beautiful store.Written 26 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Anna HGreensboro, NC2 contributionsMs. Penny greeted me and showed me around the store, introducing me to all of the beautiful jewelry and hand made items from the island. She is truly a gem, and I bought some cute souvenirs and jewelry that is locally made.
