What travellers are saying
- Kane CBoise, ID10 contributionsAbsolutely amazing island, the food, the people, the sights the sounds are incredible. Was able to get on a fishing tour with Ninja, his son and nephew, which I highly recommend. Ninja is a wizard of the island, filled with knowledge great stories and one hell of a good time. He took us out all along the reef and everywhere in between, every time we dropped a line a fish was on. I was able to troll with a hand reel for Barracuda and Jack, nothing will ever top the feeling of those fish hitting the hand reel. Pole fishing was tremendous as well. We had a chance to snorkel as well, ate freshly harvested Conch right from the water! If you are headed this way look for Ninja!! Reasonably priced! Felt like I was fishing with family. They also hooked us up with a local restaurant (Swings) that cooked our fish up for us! It was unreal. If you go with the restaurant cooking, make sure you do not bring your fish in during rush hours. The staff at Swings was very accommodating and made a world class meal out of our catch.Written 14 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kay EKemmerer, WY24 contributionsBeautiful place to visit, very noisy due to the bar that is there playing music. The water is light blue and warm and you can swim west of the split, there is even a platform to jump from if you are brave enough.Written 6 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GregSaratoga Springs, NY36 contributionsThe photos that are listed on Trip Advisor do not lie! Bliss Beach is beautiful! If you picture in your mind a perfect small Caribbean beach, this is the place. We went two different times during our visit to Caye Caulker. We were disappointed with the beaches on the main part of Caye Caulker but we so happy when we found this beach. It was secluded and beautiful but small. It was very swim-able with limited snorkeling around a small jetty. It doesn't open until 11:00 am. We took a ferry from the straight, cost $30 Belize for the round trip ( 2 people). There is no fee for using but the owners expect that you will order drinks and possibly food from their small bar. A small tapis menu. Great afternoon.Written 1 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Steven S10 contributionsIn addition to the ~100-foot visibility, healthy coral, and abundant sea life, I can add that this location can cater to a variety of divers. Shallow sections perfect for people learning or as a final dive after a long day up-taking nitrogen abound. The wall can also accommodate deeper diving.Written 27 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Theresa4196Apex, NC2,467 contributionsThis was my first visit since the Pandemic to Caye Caulker and I always stop by Paulette's. I love her artwork, got one of her paintings to match one I bought last time, as well as some of her great sand flea/mosquito repellent! This stuff works. My family has used it from Florida into Panama and different islands in the Caribbean. It works everywhere!
It was so nice visiting with Paulette and learning about her small cattery. I really admire the work she does. Please stop by for a visit and purchase from a real Caye Caulker treasure! Can't wait to go back when I return again to Caye Caulker. If she's not open she will respond by email to let you know her availability. She's a must visit on this wonderful island!!!!Written 23 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Our highlight were the tarpons which are huge fish swimming close to the dock. Well worth the effort.Written 15 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Gina T12 contributionsThis is a must do if you’re visiting Caye Caulkner! We laughed so much as the fish came jumping out of the water. Our guides, Dylan and Mario, made sure we were safe.Written 3 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Aleeza Shouston, United States2 contributionsMatty owns the Old Salt Gallery and is just a fantastic human being overall in addition to bring a great artist.
My work takes me to Belize often and occasionally I get out to the Cayes with my husband. We stumbled across the Old Salt Gallery on my first-ever trip there. Now I make it a point to pick something up every time we visit.
He has everything from postcards to prints to originals, and everything he has painted himself. He tells great stories about his life and travels. In addition to that, he is just downright kind. We were on Caye Caulker once and I facebook messaged him we were there. He opened his shop up for us, even though he was closed that day. We bought a print for our daughter. You can tell that every dollar you spend there makes his day and you are truly supporting an artist.

Communication via e-mail to set-up the appointment was fast & easy and location was great (just around the block from where I stayed, at Sea Dreams)! Service for value was exceptional & they offer many treatments that can be customized. Treat yourself to Deliannie and Ix'Chel--you won't regret it!Written 6 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
