Sam gave us such a wonderful tour :-) it is a highlight of our time here at Washington DC. We learned so much and got to enjoy different Donuts that we would’ve had no idea where to go for. Thank you for this amazing experience! We have to go fast

We had a fantastic experience on the Gastronomic Food Tour in Georgetown with Robert. We got to learn also some history of Georgetown. He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and kept us perfectly on schedule as we moved from one destination to the next. Knowing that my son and I had another tour at 7:30 PM, Robert made sure we were the first people in the group to go in and enjoy our dessert at the final stop, which we truly appreciated. Thanks to his efficiency, we made it to our bus tour with some minutes to spare.

The restaurants we visited were excellent, offering both delicious and memorable dishes. We dined at the only tapas restaurant in Georgetown and the best Italian spot—both were outstanding. The third restaurant also served great food, though I couldn’t finish my portion, which my son happily enjoyed. The only dish I didn’t care for was the tortilla soup, but everything else was perfect for me.

Ending the tour at Olivia Macarons was a sweet highlight. The macaroons were not only delicious but also beautifully decorated with cherry blossom designs. My son and I were delighted to find our favorite flavors there.

It was a large group of 15 people, though Robert mentioned that the tours are usually smaller. Nonetheless, he managed the group seamlessly. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend it!

Staff courteous and the ship clean . The Buffet food was very good but seating was tight. We had hoped the cruise would have gone closer to DC.

Went for an anniversary and it was made an incredible experience by our waiter Maurice and his trainee! They went above and beyond to make our day even more special. The food views and the rest of the staff were amazing

This is a unique way to visit Washington DC without having to walk around town. The cruise departs the DC wharf area, lasts about 3 hours (including boarding, etc) with a DJ spinning tunes, and a dance floor for folks who like dancing! The Sunday brunch is buffet style, bring a fun group to make up for the ok food. The vessel is completely glassed so pretty much all the seats are good for viewing sites. Lots of photo ops with familiar DC back drops, bring your camaras! We parked at a garage just outside the boarding area. Great time.

As a DC local, I wholeheartedly recommend this guided food tour! It offers a fascinating insight into the rich history and transformation of U St, helping you understand its vibrant character today. The tour includes stops at four diverse restaurants, showcasing American, Ethiopian, Cuban cuisines, and ending with a delightful dessert. Our guide, Vanesa, was incredibly knowledgeable and approachable, eagerly answering questions and engaging with everyone. The walking route is mostly flat and covers just a few blocks, making it accessible for all ages. It truly offers a delightful experience with something for everyone to enjoy!

My family celebrated a birthday on the Spirit of Washington. We enjoyed the food and had a good time. The buffet was a little disorganized, for example, one side was out of plates and empty chafing dishes were not quickly replenished. The service staff seemed to be working really hard, so perhaps this was not the norm. Shea, who is part of the security team, was extremely helpful with retrieving a wheelchair and escorting an elderly family member to the entrance gate.

Robert was a very well informed tour guide. He went into great deal of detail on buildings, foods and the neighborhoods. We did a lot of walking and talking between visitors and found the food to be varied and delicious. We truly enjoyed the market and all the lovely foods and flowers.
This group did a lot of laughing and learning, thanks to Robert. He certainly gave us a great 3.5 hour tour.

Be sure to find out whether the cruise you're booking is going north or south. Unfortunately this is not easily disclosed by the company. The south cruise is a bit of a bore -- only the north cruise passes the interesting visuals like the monuments, etc. The ship's crew and staff are welcoming and pleasant. The menu is prepared well and the meal is very good. The price of the cruise varies quite a bit according to the date you select, making some cruises extremely overpriced.
