Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It's been a number of years since I've been inside the Visitors Center. I usually just hike around but had my niece and nephew with us and they had not been inside. Was great to look through the high power binocular to see the sheep out on the mountain. Couldn't see them with the naked eye. Loved the short movie that was playing. I wanna see it again so I can make note of the gal that was weaving as I forgot as soon as I walked out of the theater. Hahaha! I highly recommend a visit inside if you haven't in awhile like me. A lot to see and learn

This museum is truly one of a kind. The vintage clothing displayed with the amazing autos provided a glimpse into American lifestyle and culture as technology evolved. We particularly enjoyed our interaction with the docents!

We are avid cruisers and are always looking for exceptional excursions. This was by far one of the best excursions we have ever been on. A smaller vessel picked us up from the cruise ship and as the cruise ship continued down the Fjord, we were able to cruise up close and personal to one of the glaciers. This was during early spring and there were so many Harbour seals on the ice, many with new babies. The view of the glacier that close is absolutely breathtaking and we were able to enjoy glacier ice margarita as well! The views were awe inspiring and we even got to see mountain goats and a bear. This is definitely an excursion you don't want to miss.

It was a very cold and windy day, so we drove around to see the animals. Most were out, except for the black bears who stayed snugly in their den. Even the moose stayed in their enclosures. There was plenty of room for them to roam and they were getting fed the morning we went. The road was icy and rutted, but can't be helped this time of year. Take your time, drive with care. Wear warm layers including hat, mittens and scarf. Because they are on an open plain, it gets windy. Very windy.

Having the lucky clear viewing of Denali x2 was amazing. As my group traveled south on the train we could still catch clear glimpses almost down to Anchorage.

It was great to have two park rangers board our vessel to guide us through Glacier Bay. Their knowledge of and passion for the area was clearly evident. Only 0.1% of the over a 1000 glaciers in the Bay, are tide water glaciers. We were taken to one, Marjorie Glacier at the head of Tarr Inlet. Sadly, we did not see any ice calving. It was very sobering to see and hear about the rapid retreat of many of the glaciers. Not all cruises have permission to enter Glacier Bay, so check the itinerary before you book.

This is a great place to start your visit to Fairbanks. It gives you an overview of the history of the area, including the people and animals. It’s not overly big so a couple of hours is enough. It’s very clean and bright and the staff is friendly and helpful. It’s also on the university campus which is a lovely place to see. Definitely worth a visit!

I live in Anchorage and ALWAYS have this on the top of the list for visitors. It is a MUST to see... hiking or by boat. It is 2.5 hour drive from Anchorage so 2-3 days is best instead of 1 day as there is much to see and do.

A wonderful experience for the whole family. Besides cute puppies, they have a tremendous staff that strives to educate and entertain their guests! Worth the time and money.

Views are unbelievable - serene and majestic. Visited on a cruise which would not be our‘thing’ but to see where a glacier falls into the sea can only be viewed by boat.

We were here in March and it is really the only warm indoor activity you can do besides drinking. Yes it is pricey to go but considering what they do for rescue, rehab and research we believe it is money well spent. Plus based on seafood costs in restaurants I’m sure it is costly to feed these animals. They have a good selection of Alaskan wildlife to view here. They also have a variety of touch tanks. Every worker we encountered was friendly and engaging and they all appeared to love what they do! It seems more geared towards kids but we middle age adults left happy

I particularly enjoyed the fine art gallery and the intersection of Arctic culture with the land. I really loved being able to hop between culture, science, and art. The museum cafe was delicious. I had the salmon bowl and tea. Yummy. The museum was so enjoyable I will go again before I head out of town.
