Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great introduction to island and its wineries. Small group of 7 perfect size and gelled well. Good detail about island life and background from Grant as a local. 3 interesting and varied wineries. Grant even organised perfect weather. Thoroughly recommend.

My wife and I did our own 'self drive' tour of Waiheke Island as we had a rental car while in Auckland. I'd recommend this to anyone especially if you enjoy wine, gourmet food and great views. It does not take long to drive the island but there are many places to stop both for views and wineries. A great day trip from Auckland including the ferry ride to/from the island.

We did this tour in the morning leaving Auckland proper via ferry to the Island. We were greeted by the tour bus and transported by our knowledgable guide to multiple wineries . The tastings were awesome with both red and white wine, we learned a lot and drank a lot . Go to my page for in depth commentary and views travelwhisperer.org . If you go to Auckland and love wine , do this tour!

This was a first for us. Having never taken a day-long wine tasting tour with a group, we didn't know what to expect. We LOVED it.
Our driver (Nooroa?) was fantastic. He's great with names (unlike me....) and is such a wonderful ambassador for Waiheke Island.
We started at CableBay Vineyards. It has such lovely views and a beautiful tasting room. There appeared to be some sort of scheduling error as they were not expecting two tour busses but but the tour and the winery handled it well. Some of us were standing-room only but no one seemed to mind.

Lunch at Three Seven Two was delicious, although a bit slow. Although this gave us an opportunity to meet our tour-mates and share New Zealand experiences. The menu offered had several choices and we were invited to choose any wine from the menu. Additional wine could be purchased. Even though service was slow, we all had an opportunity to walk on the beach.

Next we visited Postage Stamp, a fairly new spot on Waiheke. Their tasting room was ready and waiting and offered great views of their property. We even had time to enjoy the giant bean bags!

Last was Stony Ridge that had prepared a tasting area under the trees. Their representative was so knowledgabe and entertaining that several couples from our tour decided to stay longer!

This was a wonderful tour and we'd recommend it to everyone. While we usually like to call the shots, not having to decide where to go for lunch worked out well and we got to be completely unplugged and relaxed.

Did I buy any wine? No. But that's okay. I got to taste several different varieties and meet people from all over the world. It was a great day.

Michael our guide was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. He took us to some superb vineyards that we would never have discovered. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and would definitely do another wine tour with this company. Recommended.

A great experience with the bonus of wonderful views. Felt very safe with Marcus and Daniel. Really enjoyed the 30 minute walk back though the forest with explanations about the age and types of trees. A bit of confusion about the pickup in the village but we got there. Driver was very friendly although the Commentary on the ride there could have been a bit more prepared and professional

Took the 11am ferry which was full. At harbour signage to bus was non existence and most people on ferry were waiting for the bus all milling around so when it came it was a scramble. It actually stops opposite the terminal exit not at the bus stops which are for local buses. The bus ties up time wise with the ferry. Not much to see except good beaches and one small village with a few shops and the best crepes. Stops at all the vineyards so a great way to go wine tasting. We had fantastic weather but in the rain probably very dismal.

David was our guide today, loved his conviviality, he made everyone very welcome and was very inclusive, informative and knowledgeable. Had a great day out, fantastic way to see Waiheke Island and it's offerings.

Favourite winery of the day was Casino Miro, which we were unfamiliar with. Gabbi was a very good host and clearly loves what she does. The wine tasting paired with their olive and paprika oils are genius. Thank you for hosting us.

Wineries were lovely and all quite unique. Wish we would have stayed on the island overnight. Our tour guide provided interesting information about living on the island which added to the experience.
