Of all the 8 bridges on the Danube River in Budapest, this one is the most favorite of the city's residents. This green iron bridge is located in the southern part of the city, next to the Central Market Hall, that is, it connects Fovam Square in Buda and Gellert Square in Pest. Although it looks big, still with 333.6 m. is the smallest bridge in the center of Budapest. I passed this bridge 3 times and enjoyed walking on it. On the iron structure, you will often see people sitting and waiting for the sunset, and they stay even in the night hours. From this bridge there is a beautiful view of the sunset and the river. If you take a closer look at the bridge, you will find one of the hidden mini statues of Mihaly Kolodko. On certain weekends of the year, this bridge closes to traffic and is repurposed for pedestrians only. So yes, on certain weekends in June, July or August, the bridge is closed to traffic and given over to young people and those who want to have a picnic on the bridge or party.
