- PadBLGDublin, Ireland12 contributionsWe took the full day tour to szentendre and back by boat with Akos. It was simply out of this world. Akos was very generous and patient with us! Cycled 25k along the Danube, stopping for a drink, had lunch in Szentendre (drinks and lunch paid for by the company), went for a swim in the Danube after a short tour of szentendre (beautiful old town by the way) and went back by boat to Budapest (1 hour). - Ashley P1 contributionThis is a family run business. Dominic, Mona and Zsuzsanna were fantastic. We had a very warm welcome and felt at ease with them. They were punctual when picking us up and were delightful people. The canoeing is good fun on the river taking you out into what seems like isolated beauty but is really in the heart of the city. Very bizarre. We were a group of ten. Dominic took us into the water and he was well up for a laugh.

- KH:)UK10 contributionsHaving a free afternoon in Budapest I decided I should take a walking tour to get better acquainted with the city. A friend suggested one of Robert’s, having had an enjoyable excursion with him a few weeks previously, and I chose his “4 sites : 4 stories” tour, which covered the areas around the Central Market in Pest and Gellert Hill in Buda.
Both Robert and this tour were good choices. It’s an interesting area with a lot of history and Robert had a great deal of information about it, much of it backed up with illustrations and photographs of how the various sites looked in the past. He had a wealth of stories, both about this area and about Budapest generally, which made the tour come alive – I had a number of questions during our walk and he was able to answer them all immediately!
Robert is an affable host, speaks excellent English (he’s spent time in the UK) and clearly loves his subject.
