Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Kate RMalvern90 contributionsI visited with my children aged 11 and 13. I am a huge circus fan and this did not disappoint. It was not expensive and I highly recommend.Written 30 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- pragati9Zambia883 contributionsWe stumbled upon this place as we went exploring Prague Castle. With two teen age boys tagging along this became must visit. They accept cash only as tickets but luckily we were prepared due to the ongoing Szent Istvan Nap. ATMs are all around the street.More academic to start with but with good info about Harry Houdini, his family and his life in general. Few things we knew and few more we learnt. The icing on cake was the live magic show at the end. The magician did not speak English, so all our attention was on his act. The act on its own was not new but it had the feel of those salon performances of past. The familiar coin trick, card trick still captured our attention. He interacted with audience of 5(4 of us and another guest)and made us part of his act. I must have seen a magic show after a decade or so and honestly we enjoyed along with our sons.Worth going and spending your money!Written 2 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MariahcatCoatesville, PA214 contributionsOur ticket included pick up and drop off at our hotel. The Duna Paolota was a nice small theater so everyone could see and hear the whole show. There was a group of musicians, mostly violins, playing and, at times, Hungarian dancers in authentic costumes danced on stage. Was a fun evening. They also take your picture which you can purchase if you choose, not pushy.Written 1 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ProgenitorCentral Hungary, Hungary490 contributionsIf you have a chance to see them - DO. Not only do they play superbly, but they often do things other orchestras don't; e.g., singing as a choir. Their staging of operas and ballets with the stage running through and over the orchestra are very special.Written 18 September 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - OZS_ATWBudapest, Hungary3,841 contributionsHungarian Heritage House, also known as Budai Vigado is a beautiful building on the Buda side close to the Chain Bridge.
There is also a tiny small square in front of it.Written 25 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Az ott dolgozók mindig mosolyognak, kacagnak és biztosítják a hangulatot. Érezni a szeretetet.
Bármelyik zenekarommal járunk ott koncertet adni, mindig egyforma bánást kapunk, és jókat röhögünk! Ha Budapesten jársz, és egy jót akarsz bulizni, keresd fel a helyet, megéri!
Great place, wonderful team, super concerts and parties, affordable prices! The staff is always smiling, laughing and having a good time. You can feel the love. I have played there on several occassions with three of my bands, and they all get equal attention and love, and we always have a great laugh! If you are in Budapest and looking for a good time: Backstage Pub is a MUST!Written 31 October 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The building has other functions, too but they have theatre plays, dance show, concerts as well. Easily accessible after the Margit -bridge on the Pest side of the city. The show was really great and the team 'Experidance' has quite a few shows on the menu. very interesting dance mix, with different dresses of different historical ages, the dancers are professional, the music is great. There is a restaurant in the building to have dinner before or after the show, and an environmentally friendly playground for children. The seats are not the best, but I had worse experience in my life, so about medium. However the auditorium is not sloped enough to have a good view to the stage, only from the balcony- but there are just few seats and quickly reserved. Toilet is not too big by the way, so if you are a lady, be prepared for a queue if visiting a popular show. Otherwise I can recommend to watch a dance show/play/concert.Written 21 January 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sza_beeTimisoara, Romania345 contributionsfirst-time visitors of this place should know that their expectations will be definitely different than reality.
the theatre is basically in a basement of a huge building. Cannot call it a basement but from level point of view it is.
It was my first theatre visit in BUdapest and i found that even the not existing seats are sold. Full house.
The arrangement of the place is to fit a few hundred of people inside.
Some of the seats have limited visibility to the scene, pay attention to this when buying your ticket.
Prices are average for the local range.Written 9 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
