Koller Gallery
#2 of 132 Museums in Budapest
A tremendous enthusiast, I am always drawn to art galleries and Museums!
I feel you can learn more about and enjoy Hungarian art in Koller Gallery than in some official tourist museums.
Hospital in the Rock
#6 of 132 Museums in Budapest
A guided tour of a cold war bunker situated under Budapest, the museum provided a good contrast to the surrounding historic museums and an overview of the city's recent political history.
I had a wonderful time at this museum, which is one of the most interesting museums I've ever seen!

Hungarian National Gallery (Magyar Nemzeti Galeria)
#9 of 132 Museums in Budapest
Personally, loved some wonderful pieces by József Rippl-Rónai, yet this entire museum is a gem (and I've seen some great art museums to compare).
All the museums in Hungary are worth visiting!

Museum of Military History (Hadtorteneti Muzeum)
#20 of 132 Museums in Budapest
If you like history, weapons, or anything military related, this is one of the most encompassing museums I've ever been to and must be seen.
The museum is located in the Castle District on the Buda side of the Danube, along the back of the citadel, a ten minute walk from the central square and church.

Semmelweis Museum of Medical History (Orvostorteneti Muzeum)
#29 of 132 Museums in Budapest
The Semmelweis museum is full of fascinating medical history exhibits dating from the prehistoric ages to the 20th century.
This small museum has a good collection of medical equipment from days gone by.
Museum of Music History
#31 of 132 Museums in Budapest
A highlight of this museum exhibits the recording gramophone used by Hungarian composers Bela Bartok and Zoltan Kodaly to capture the authentic folk music of the country.
Situated almost next door to a more illustrious tourist attraction St. Matthias's church, this smallish museum is a wonderful exhibition of music influences through the ages in Hungary.
Golden Eagle Pharmacy Museum
#40 of 132 Museums in Budapest
I love small museums.
This was one of the best 'small' museums I've been to.
