Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

After days of walking/climbing and sightseeing, this was our last stop before going home. Hanging out in the thermal spa (indoor and outdoor) was so relaxing, and exactly what our muscles needed. There are food and drink options available outside. The outdoor thermal has 2 sides to it with a lap pool in the middle. Inside, the Saunas were packed but the inside thermals had space. You can buy towels/suits but we brought our own and lockers are provided as well (part of the admission).

We wanted to experience the much talked about thermal baths. The place very big and luckily not too crowded. Unfortunately we could not spend more than a hour as we had a hard time getting there in the rain. They would not give us a rain check or credit for another day.
The baths itself was a good experience.

Such a great experience. Loved the things put in the bath for a comfortable spa! the beet on tap was great and relaxing. the water was lush and the bath comfortable. Wish it was actually an hour experience. Only downside was privacy as people would come to the place to look around and could see us. (wasn't an issue) but would if was a romantic place maybe

Place is nice, but a little crowded with all the water slides.
Great outdoor bar and eating area!
We had a really great full day there☺️

We decided to vist the Lukacs thermal baths instead of one of the more touristy ones like Szechenyi or Rudas as Lucaks was quite a bit cheaper and also stayed open until 8pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We arrived around 4pm and although there were quite a few people (mostly locals) using the thermal pools it wasn't at all packed. There was no queue to get in and the reception staff spoke quite good English but didn't explain the writstband system for the cabins so we had a little bit of a faff when we got there as we thought we could use any one that was free when in fact there is a cabin number assigned to the wristband. Luckily some other tourists who had used the baths before helped us out.

(As a note on the cabins: it's quite easy for 2 people to share a cabin - not necesarilly using it at the same time, but it's easy enough for one person to use it after the other.)

It is a bit of a maze inside the complex but in most areas there is signage in English as well as Hungarian so it's not difficult to find your way from the outdoor pool to the indoor Turkish baths, but it is quite a distance (or feels like it, going through quite a few corridors and up and down stairs).

Ultimately, once you're in it's a fun and relaxing experience. The heated outdoor pool has numerous bubble vents that go off periodically and there's a rapids area. The Turkish baths have different temperatures up to 40 degrees but you're not advised to stay in those for very long. They are small, so probably only about 20-30 people can comfortably be in them at a time, but people were very accomodating in making space for newcomers so although it might feel a bit of a daunting experience as you enter for the first time, it needn't be. You do feel very relaxed after 10 minutes or so in the thermal waters so it's a good thing to do after a couple of long days walking around the sights of Budapest! You can aslo fill a water bottle from various fountains within the baths to get the benefits of the natural minerals that way.

We didn't use the length-swimming pool, where swimming hats are required. In the rest of the complex hats aren't necessary but you are expected to tie your hair back if it's shoulder-length or longer. Flip flops are required everywhere.

We spent about 3 and a half hours at the baths in total.

The staff within the complex were quite helpful but a bit abrupt at times; still the Lukacs baths was, we thought, better value for money and likely to be less densely populated than other baths so overall we'd recommend the experience.

As this spa was only about a 10/15 minute walk from my hotel I went midweek after 5pm when it is slightly cheaper entry but still paid extra for access to the outdoor pools and sauna world. Plenty of rows of lockers but communal and didn't see any single sex areas for getting changed.
Inside area bit busier than outside. Actually got to do a little swimming in the slightly cooler outdoor pool as there were only a few people in it. The warmer one was very nice to relax in and be able to look up at the stars and moon though getting out the air temperature was pretty cold so couldn't stay exposed for too long.

We were recommended the Mandala Day Spa by someone we met on a boat trip. Knowing it was going to be raining on our final day and with an evening flight we booked a 4 hour spa session.

For £32 (gbp) we got 4 hours in the spa baths, a glass of champagne, flip flops and a towel.

I've seen a review about just 3 pools. This isn't true.

The spa offers a cold plunge pool, cooler pool, normal temperature pool and a bath temperature pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi , loungers, day beds, a seating area and a small bar.

Water is free. Toilets were clean with soap and toilet roll at all times.

The spa is very relaxing. It has a nice ambience, dark with nice lighting.

    Free WiFi.

    We didn't have treatments.

The staff were very friendly. We found the deposit system a bit odd. In return for a locker key band you had to hand them something of value.

Lockers were 2 sizes small and tall. You get them allocated. Luckily I had a tall one as my bag wouldn't have fitted in a small one.

Totally recommend for a few hours of r&r

Budapest is the place for thermal water. Paskal bath is a newly refurbished bath in Budapest, in a neighbourhood, so you cannot get the historical buildings and feeling of the city. It has a very logical built setup- separate children area with 2 pools, a bit sparated area for wellness ( geothrmal sauna as well, loved it) and also an outside pool area. The food is very basic, so do not fancy for something very special. Being a neighbourhood facility, it is also a great place to see how people from Budapest get a bit of cill-out.

We visited this bath after visiting all five well-known baths of Budapest before. We were unpleasantly surprised when it appeared that no sauna is included in the ticket, It was not clearly designated on the site, it should have been written clearly in the information for each type of the available tickets. Approximately like this: lockers, indoor and outdoor pools are included. Saunas are not included.
Why is it needed? Because general practice is to include sauna use in the ticket,

We came to Budapest for healing, and this was highly unpleasant and spoiled the experience of otherwise not a bad thermal bath.
I hope the administration will pay more attention to clearly designating what is available. And includes sauna use in the ticket as everywhere else in Budapest.
Be attentive if you don't want to pay extra.

I used to like this place, but it is getting worse and worse. Not enough maintanance. Each time we visit less service is available. As it is said for some time the sauna at the pool and the elevators are not working…it used to be a good place to relax.

The Spa department of the Hotel is under the ground. It was a little too small, but that was clear and peacefully. They have one sauna and two steam bath cabins.
