- Helen F2 contributionsI cannot recommend Royal Spa, or particularly the specialist Dora, more highly. I have been to spas/ baths literally all over the world, and this one is my favorite. It was clean, beautiful, had the full range of relaxation offerings (swimming pool, hot baths, steam room, sauna rooms, and quiet areas to rest), and the staff was amazingly helpful. I had a mud wrap with Dora, and I give her a 6 out of 5 stars. Amazing, not to be missed, experience. Budapest is a wonderful city, worth a visit, but this spa is so good that if it were out in the middle of nowhere I would still make a point to visit it again. - parissmilesIrving, TX190 contributionsAs I travel in various 5 star hotels around the world, I always try to experience the spa at each hotel, and I feel fortunate that I was introduced to members of this spa. The facility itself is spotlessly clean and appealing to the eye and senses. Both Miss Julia and Miss Olga were naturally smiling and pleasant to be around, and Miss Olga gave me the most excellent massage I have ever received in Europe. His extensive professional knowledge and experience were immediately apparent, and he stands out not only in his massage technique but also in his exceptional approach to clients. He always pays attention to individual needs, and thanks to his treatments, my back is in much better condition than before. - graham tweedLochgilphead, UK71 contributionsI can only assume there are issues here. Did it serve a purpose? Yes. Was it pleasurable? Not really. The gym is too hot and very difficult anywhere in the building to cool down. The first day there was a tank of water to drink with lemon etc and that was the last day I saw it. I did find a warm drink fountain round the corner in another part. The staff seem to lack any motivation and look like they do not want to be there most just sitting looking at phones. I tried hard to interact but its difficult at best. Equipment never seems to get wiped down. I did see a couple clean the mirrors one day but that was it. I was here for 15 days but could only buy a 10 day pass. I even offered to buy a month but no interest shown. If you are looking for a very good personal trainer who speaks English and Spanish, you should go there and look for Migue Serra. - N S1 contributionNarcissistic behavior by some of its members - don't go there, if what you want is good for yourself. Emotional safety matters.
I wish there would be more places in Hungary where emotional safety is put at the forefront.

Bring cash, unless you have a credit card that works off the Euro.
(My Visa from the USA did not work.)
Also, be familiar with Kilos vs lbs. (The dumbbells are in Kilos.)
You get a locker with lock for your valuables and clothes.

Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Alina T1 contributionA month ago I bought a pass to mom sport swimming pool and this pass has special conditions (on weekends entry before 9 am and after 7pm) which as I was told at the time, start from June, 4. I come to the pool on June 2 at about 1 pm, and they don't want to let me in, unless I pay more, because those conditions started that day. Of course they didn't want to take responsibility of what they communicate to their clients, and the receptionist girl even said that at the time when the card was sold they didn't even have the info on when the summer conditions would apply. So why the hell you sell smth and don't give all the conditions? I made her call the superviser and then the manager hoping that as a courtesy (as normal companies do), cause it was clearly their fault, they would let me in once. But no. So I wasted time, money(to pay for transport) to come there and go back just like that. What is worse, they were not entirely polite, and they were interrupting me or exchanging those glances... So frustrated! They sent me the price-lists after the incidents, but at the time of the incident not all the price-lists on their website were updated.
