The old town is absolutely beautiful. There are so many historic buildings and cobbled streets each with street trade that create a great atmosphere. Well worth visiting.

A stroll across Ljubljana’s iconic Triple Bridge is an absolute must! The bridge is adjacent to Preseren Square. This is the major pedestrian bridge in the center of the old town. Restaurants and shops, including the covered market, are on both sides of the river.

If you want to include a peaceful park in your sightseeing in Ljubljana, I recommend this place. It is not far from the city centre, it is clean, flowers are nice and there is a lake too.

Preseren Square is the epicenter of old town Ljubljana. The sights and party begin here. The Preseren statue with his muse looking over his shoulder as he sneeks a peak at his 14 year old crush, Juliana, across the square set the stage. The iconic Triple Bridge is adjacent to the square and the Covered market is across the Triple Bridge and around the corner. Restaurants, shops and people watching abound. Welcome to Ljubljana!

There was a fun VR part if the tour which was good fun and our guide Erik was brilliant. He made the tour more interactive than most beer tours where you're just told lots of facts. He also gave us some great tips for bars to go to in Ljubljana.

Did you know that this beautiful cathedral is the only one in Ljubljana? You will love its altar, its decorations and paintings, even though it’s a bit small.

Wandering along the canal is a nice way in itself to take in a lot of the main attractions... Following it makes for an easy self guided walking tour, as long as you know what you are seeing.

Ljubljana’s iconic Dragon Bridge opened for traffic in 1901 and was completed in 1907. It was one of the first bridges constructed using reinforced concrete. It’s designed in the Vienna Successionist style and commemorates 40 years of Emperor Franz Joseph I’s rule; hence, Ljubljana received the funding. It’s only a few hundred meters from the pedestrian Triple Bridge.

The place was nice, you can easily spend couple of hours. We had different expectations but overall it was ok.

This nice market is located in the city center, not far from other attractions in the city, all within walking distance.
There are fruits, vegetables, food and beer stalls, clothing and more in the market.
The atmosphere here is great and everything is fresh.
Those who love markets will enjoy here very much

Worth the walk up the hill for views over the city and further mountains. We didn’t pay to go inside as castles don’t interest us but it was nice to walk around and sit enjoying the views for a while

We have been to the castle and to the "skyscraper" on the same day and the view on the SC was much better. Mostly because you can see the castle with the mountains on your view.

The nice part of the old town is mich better to see than on the castle. (For clear information we did not go on tower of the castle)

On the SC you go uo by a lift. Sit down and have a Drink (not to expensiv). No extra costs for entry. A toilet is also available

Old army barracks taken over by squatters to prevent it being demolished. It’s now a social and cultural centre that hosts regular events. Well worth visiting….about a fifteen minute walk from the Old town.

Lovely place to go for a stroll, day or night, with a pup if you have one. The riverfront area of Ljubljana is charming, and it's definitely worth spending some time strolling around, people watching, dog watching, enjoying a drink and/or a meal... Really can't go wrong in this neck of the woods, any time of year (have been in summer and winter).

The zoo is well organized, not too large to get your kids tired, with a good mix of ordinary animals (cows, goats...) and rarer ones (can easily see tigers). The sea lion food slot is fun, giraffes can be seen close from the top, there are many well thoughts spot. Last but not least, a big kid playground can get the more active ones busy and happy. Worth the visit
