- whitestranger7Krakow, Poland6 contributionsBest zoo I’ve ever visited in my life. Most animals have huge enclosures and alot of free space. The variety of zoo fauna is unbelievable huge. I like the way they care of animals. Price is reasonable.Written 21 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Derek PLanark, UK291 contributionsLovely gothic architecture and an interesting elegant (but somewhat over-rated in my opinion) astronomical clock. The hourly "pageant" of the apostles is brief and it's a good job it's free. But the square has a lovely European ambiance. Remeniscent of Germany and Austria, and not unlike Spain if you forget the millions of cobbles! It's a very nice space. I didn't eat there as I was warned all the eateries and bars are seriously over-priced compared to backstreet ones, but the restaurant terraces did look inviting and good for people-watching; and plenty of horse-drawn carriages too.Written 14 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- GGGClubToorak, Australia1,363 contributionsThis has got to be the most beautiful bridge in the world!
Splendid architecture, lots of statues, scenic views to each side of the city.
Just need some cleaning as the years, the dirt and the pollution darkened this monument!
A busy place with some beggars but also some painters, small merchants and musicians too.
A very enjoyable moment going back and forth.Written 25 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - BestRegards FromFarCape Town Central, South Africa366 contributionsBeautiful cathedral that is well worth a visit when strolling the castle grounds. The stained glass windows are absolutely worth checking out!Written 23 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Kelli R19 contributionsTruly a beautiful complex to visit with such incredible history. Don't skip the Golden Lane tour (free in the afternoons!).Written 20 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Neil KLiverpool, UK610,803 contributionsWalking over the magnificent Charles Bridge which connects the Old Town to Lesser Town is something I love doing on any trip to Prague I take, also known as Mala Strana ,it's probably the oldest part of this fantastic Bohemian city .
The architecture in this beautiful district is jaw dropping, period buildings, ancient churches ,twisting cobblestoned streets packed with amazing pubs, bars and restaurants ,it's a great area to explore and get lost in ,I've been coming to Prague for close to 30 years and I still find new things to check out ,it's a wonderful, vibrant district to visit and most certainly well worth checking out if you're planning a trip to Prague.Written 10 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - jenjen2123Canterbury, UK50 contributionsPretty walk around the park. Great views and I bet it’s spectacular in summer. Easy to reach by public transport. Play park for kids. Few cafes but you have to pay to use toiletsWritten 10 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- BestRegards FromFarCape Town Central, South Africa366 contributionsWe explored the Old Town Hall through a guided visit and were pleasantly surprised by all the secrets we uncovered and that remain hidden for most visitors of Prague. The tour takes you underground where a whole new world opens! It also allows you to see the backside of the Apostles that appear on the hour above the Astronomical Clock. A visit of the Tower is well worth is for the great views!Written 23 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Neil KLiverpool, UK610,803 contributionsWalking along the riverbank of the meandering Vltava River in the New Town I viewed Lobkowicz Palace and although I didn't visit the palace complex I have on previous visits to Prague and it's well worth it,the palace itself is the only privately owned building in the Castle District .
Constructed in the second half of the 16th century between 1528-1569 by Jaroslav of Perstejn and completed by his brother Vlatislav Of Perstejn,it's such an eye catching building ,I love the look of this palace building, love the history attached to it ,it's one of the most popular tourist attractions in Prague and if you're planning on visiting this beautiful Bohemian city a must go destination.Written 6 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - David D730 contributionsThe Municipal House has a small but beautiful collection of Mucha’s designs and artworks on display above the concert hall. However, it should be noted that these are primarily lithographs, in case people are very concerned with only seeing originals. The moving displays of his works are quite breath-taking, particularly the display of the Slav Epic.Written 14 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Harrison F. CarterCologne, Germany10,425 contributionsAfter coming off the bridge and emerging through the tower, you are soon greeted by a view of the church, and it is really impressive... Lovely to seeWritten 25 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- starlightShanghaiVictoria, Canada3,540 contributionsThis place must be absolutely stunning in the late spring and early summer. It’s very pretty even just now, with most of the trees and shrubs still bare.
The park is incredibly popular with all age groups: families, couples, and solos. Also, a lot of doggies (on leashes, of course) and joggers.
There are several viewpoints that overlook the Vltava River and dozens of benches elsewhere on which to sit and soak up the atmosphere.
Notable features in the park include:
1. Hanavský Pavilion - originally built as the representative pavilion of the Komárov Ironworks for the Prague Jubilee Exhibition in 1891; now, it’s a pricey restaurant with stunning views of Prague’s bridges.
2. The Prague Metronome - in Letná Park since 1991, where a monstrous Stalin monument used to be; this sculpture represents the relentless passage of time and is a cautionary reminder of times past.
The major irritants are the skateboarders, the empty booze bottles (broken), and the ugly graffiti. But … the park is big enough to escape those irritants.Written 21 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Neil KLiverpool, UK610,803 contributionsThe Hradcany District is without a shadow of a doubt the most popular destination in Prague ,it's the Castle District ,the famous Prague Castle is one of the largest in the world but there's more to this district than just the castle ,there's innumerable palace buildings, great churches such as St Vitus Cathedral ,the architecture is so good ,red tiled buildings proliferate the district ,walking down the famous Nerudova Street is superb ,great building on both sides of this street, part of the castle complex takes in sections of Petrin Hill ,it's full of pubs, bars and restaurants and lots of retail outlets ,all in all it's a great area of the city to explore.Written 10 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Alise Patrīcija DRiga, Latvia30 contributionsIf you go to prague you must visit this place. We went on a hot sunny day. The garden was so beautiful clean and neat. There were two peacocks they walked aroud for bit and then sat in the shadows, because it was a hot day.the main fountain is beautiful and they were fish swimming there.Written 25 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Neil KLiverpool, UK610,803 contributionsWalking down Karmeliska you pass one of the most beautiful churches in Prague namely Kostel Panny Marie Vitezne A Prazske Jezulatko ,aka The Monastery Of Jesus Of Prague or alternatively Church Of Our Lady Victorious .
The church was constructed between 1611-1613 ,a great example of Baroque architecture at it finest ,passing the church on my latest visit I never ventured in but I have been inside before and the interior is stunning, the exterior is beautiful,so photogenic, makes for great photographic opportunities ,it's a wonderful church to view if you're walking down Karmeliska.Written 13 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
