Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stopped in to see the giant column of books, which is worth seeing. It’s free to enter. We arrived around 10am on a Wednesday and waited in line about 10 minutes. You can see it and take photos without waiting in line, but if you want to peer inside or get photos with nobody else in them, you’ll have to wait in line.

On of the places that definitely worth visiting when you are in Prague - now for sure there are several hundreds of places , but still this is very very interesting - is the Strahov monastery.
Built in the early 1100's - to be precise in 1134 - it is still standing after so many centuries - now for sure there were several wars over the centuries ( the hessites war, the 30 years war , when the Swedish soldier did not manage to capture Prague itself , but sacked the monastery ... etc.)
The Basilica - the central church of the monastery - is impressive - pity that we had no time to visit it - only a few pictures from the entrance through the bars at the entrance to the nave. But still what can be see it is impressive from a distance - so I can just imagine how it is from the inside.
We also did not have time to visit the library of the monastery - that is also told to be impressive.
.. and yes they got their own brewery - but yet again no time to sit in and taste the brew that is made here... next time.
Overall a very impressive place - with a lot of treasures to discover , I would say try to find a guided tour, that is at least 4-5 hours to discover majority of the interesting things that Strahov monastery can offer - it is worth it!
When in Prague - go and check out Strahov Monastery - it is definitely worth your time.

While the two library halls are indeed gorgeous, the price feels very high for a cursory visit.
You are not allowed into the library, you can only look at them from a roped off entrance. What you can see is absolutely beautiful, historically significant and stunning, I just wish you could actually wander around and explore more.
There are a few exhibits outside the libraries, but not much information regarding them. Still nice to look at, but for the price I expected more.

    What a fabulous evening!!!
Everything was so beautiful - the singing, the music, the food and the venue.
Our friends had never heard live classical music and they are now hooked.
This was the highlight of our trip to Prague and worth every penny.

It is big with a lot of entrances, but well signed so you cannot get lost. You have a coffee truck in front of it with nespresso coffee and a very good restaurant near by.
It is very close to metro too.

This is a huge library but apart from that that's it. The entrance is very impressive with a huge "pile" of books built into a column.
The actual building is OK. If you want to visit an impressive old library head to Klementinum for the guided tour.

We found this tourist office helpful to provide some good maps of Central Prague. useful place to pick up leaflets of what is on etc. It is just along from the Old Town Hall which has the astronomical clock which is under repair at present. The entrance to the clock tower here where you can go up for great view of the square.
Many marriages take place here as well in the hall at the back..

Hello, the Airport is a smaller size, really easy to get around. Just two floors. There are few coffee shops and news papers shops, shop with local tour - yes, it is possible to tour the Airport for a few crowns. The Billa store that is downstairs has a good selection of local fresh food, they have bakery and some local Czech and Slovák food such as Halušky. There is Burger King at Terminál 2. I would not recommend to sit there at evenings, perhaps just to watch suitcases more. The guard is walking by and it creates unpleasant scenes at times.
There is a post office and also wrapping station for luggages, most of all the restaurant upstairs has beautiful selection of Czech cuisine.

Like to add my 2 cents or in this case 2 koruna to this review. I was at the Art Deco Imperial Hotel, which is about one block from Palladium Mall and about 2 blocks from Municipal House. There were 2 money exchange places right near me. One was giving a larger amount than the other. One thing to ask and look for is whether they charge a fee. The place with the higher amount charged a fee, which brought the exchange to lower than the other place that did not charge a fee. So compare and ask them straight out. How much do I get for 100 dollars/euros/yen, whatever your currency. And ask any fee ? Then compare to other places. The place I used was at 13 na Porici. Use a bank first choice, and avoid private places that are big chain operations.

My partner bought us tickets to attend Swan Lake here in December where we saw the Moscow Ballet which was fitting as this place is a testament to Soviet era architecture. A few short stops on the subway and we were there. This place is huge. It is used for trade shows and sometimes cultural events. We entered and wondered if the event would be well attended as it seemed rather empty. But the auditorium was pretty full. The concourses are all enormous and so you feel as if you are almost alone even though there are people there. We sat in the balcony and the performance was excellent. The seats are more like lazy boy recliners without the recliner. High back chairs and c9mfortable. My partner told me that this is where the Cimmunist party had there congresses so,with the enevitable long speeches they wanted to be seated comfortably.
I saw an poster for a return engagement by the same ballet company performing Romeo & Juliet in March. If in town and you like ballet I am sure you will enjoy.

I was so curious about this place, since i have heard about Vaclav Havel' s achievements, when i was a university undergraduate student.
But it seems this place was not so open for public so I was in doubt to enter the building.

But i was glad to know this is one of historical sites in Prague

The check-in process was good and the terminal waiting area was very clean and a lot of nice place to eat. However during security check, I was the only one who was pulled over to the side; the officer asked nicely if I could remove my hijab but I politely declined. She informed me that she would have to proceed with manual check, which was understandable. I had to remove my shoes, and underwent a thorough body check. And my family had to wait for a long time.
I brushed it aside initially, until I saw that everyone else went through without any problems. Same issue when I went through Luton airport. Wonder what was in my sketchers that was so interesting until it had to be x-ray and scanned.
