Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- S AMilton Keynes, UK35 contributionsWith the funicular closed it was a long and steep walk. Excellent views across the city but views are a little distant from river (castle a little closer) so no really wow photos. Worth it if the funicular is open. Nothing much else up there. We had a coffee. Probably better in the summer with trees in leaf.Written 8 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kludsky Entertainment OwnerNew York City, NY478 contributionsIt's amazing that it's still in service. I think it brings much history to Prague. It looks like new. I took just few photos.Written 16 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ELKWUnited States11,923 contributionsthere is CZK 50 off if you have the ticket for the tower on the same day you bought your tram ticket for historical tram line 42, there are 2 trams for line 42, one is vintage, the other is not (just old style), the run alternatively, and 40 min apart from each one, the ticket of tram 42 is valid for 24 hrs, so if you activate it at 11am today, it's valid until 11am tomorrow. But the price is quite expensive as it's for sight-seeing, you can take the tram for a whole loop, then stop at the attractions you want, it pass by several famous attractions such as the Prague castle, the Strahov Monastery, etc. The girl who sells you the tram ticket is also a tourist guide, you can ask her any questions about touring Prague, the drive may not know English, but she knows. the tram 42 ticket is also valid for tram 41. Besides, 42 and 41, there are also other tram line number which is a "normal"/ "regular" tram, not specifically for tourist.Written 28 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jens KSopron, Hungary717 contributionsWanted to go up by cable car to Petrin but ended going by foot because of the long que. Walking took us 30 minutes. The way down was shorter because no waiting and the quick ride. Fine that it is included at a daily transportation pass.Written 18 November 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
