Best zoo I’ve ever visited in my life. Most animals have huge enclosures and alot of free space. The variety of zoo fauna is unbelievable huge. I like the way they care of animals. Price is reasonable.

This place must be absolutely stunning in the late spring and early summer. It’s very pretty even just now, with most of the trees and shrubs still bare.

The park is incredibly popular with all age groups: families, couples, and solos. Also, a lot of doggies (on leashes, of course) and joggers.

There are several viewpoints that overlook the Vltava River and dozens of benches elsewhere on which to sit and soak up the atmosphere.

Notable features in the park include:

    1. Hanavský Pavilion - originally built as the representative pavilion of the Komárov Ironworks for the Prague Jubilee Exhibition in 1891; now, it’s a pricey restaurant with stunning views of Prague’s bridges.

    2. The Prague Metronome - in Letná Park since 1991, where a monstrous Stalin monument used to be; this sculpture represents the relentless passage of time and is a cautionary reminder of times past.

The major irritants are the skateboarders, the empty booze bottles (broken), and the ugly graffiti. But … the park is big enough to escape those irritants.

If you go to prague you must visit this place. We went on a hot sunny day. The garden was so beautiful clean and neat. There were two peacocks they walked aroud for bit and then sat in the shadows, because it was a hot day.the main fountain is beautiful and they were fish swimming there.

Even though this place is not far from Prague’s main square and the best sites, most tourists seem to ignore it and head to nearby Dancing house!

According to ancient legends, Vyšehrad is the oldest seat of Czech princes; in fact, the local settlement was established in the mid-10th century.

I took a private tour to the Casemates & Gorlice, where I was surprised when the tour guide informed me that this place appeared in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol as Moscow’s Kremlin’s underground tunnels!!!

The Cathedral of St. Peter & Paul as well as the Cemetary were stunning!

This place is a must-visit when in Prague.

I had seen a video on this place, but it far exceeded expectations. A compact, terraced gem that requires some seeking out (you'll walk into an alley on the way to St. Nicolas Church). This is a place to wander at your leisure, but make sure to just sit and enjoy its beauty.

You pass it on the way from the airport and can be reached by tram or bus from the centre. Several walking trails, and swimming in the park. Walk through forests on paths.13km for the longest trail. Lots of benches and huts along the way. Great rural area really close to the centre

Lovely gardens, lots of paths to walk along and benches to sit and look at the garden. The greenhouses are also very interesting.

Vltava Beach is not a beach but a pebble and sandy piece of land along the meandering Vltava River .
It's a popular little area offering great views of Charles Bridge and Legion Bridge but the most distinctive feature of this " beach " are the ducks and swans that congregate here for breakfast, dinner and tea,a noisy bunch ,fun to look at ,lots of people feed these water birds ,it's a popular destination for young families ,it's well worth checking out if you're in the area.

This review is mainly for the Cafe at the Pavilion in the Park, but, we did have a walk around.

We did have a nice day in the Park, there's a lovely cave you can walk in and almost a regal like a fountain and surrounding building.

The Cafe is lovely, it was a nice warm sunny day so we sat outside. Fast service. We ordered a couple of toasted paninis and coffees and it worked out reasonable price.

A must go destination for me on any trip to Prague I take is Petrin Hill ,lots of interesting sites up here including Petrin Tower which is Prague's Eiffel Tower and St Lawrence Church plus the wonderful views of the city ,one of the great features of Petrin Hill is Petrin Park ,a great green oasis of calm in this busy and bustling city.
Depending on what you like ,you have the well manicured Mirror Maze and Petrin Gardens or the more wild, unkempt park area's that are so beautiful ,it's so tranquil ,it's a wonderful park area to check out if you're planning a trip to Prague.

2 years later, we came back to the gardens , only to discover that the same show was going on. I wrote a long review from the past experience, plus others from previous visits. I thought I would just summarize the past reviews and include our last experience.

It was a beautiful sunny day and we had plenty of time to take in the Vinobrani festivities. There was dancing on stage, food stalls and wine tasting just like in the years past.

We enjoyed it all, the fun atmosphere , the manicured gardens, the panoramic views.
For part of our trip we were staying in the Hotel Savoy - in the Castle area. We had more time to linger, it was an afternoon to remember ...

Beautiful place. Much effort was put into this and it was worth it. The place is beautiful . Unfortunately, the first impression is ruined immediately because of the attitude of the lady selling tickets. Next time we buy e-tickets for sure.

Not of a special beauty but they are interesting by the arrangement, terraced, on a steep slope. A quiet place to rest after visiting the castle.
