Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

this is full of toys and a particular favourite the old dolls (for girls and boys) - infact i think it is probably more suited to adults than small children due to the history side of items.

A must for anyone visiting Prague as tourists looking to get out the cold for an enjoyable hour. Lots of interactive exhibitions & great photo/video moments. Wasn’t so busy in comparison to other places and about £11 a ticket.

Rici Marionettes is an amazing place. The showroom is filled with handcrafted marionettes in various sizes and depicting various genres from modern to medieval times. The witches and wizards were the most interesting to me, and I did purchase a witch. In the shop you could see the process of making a marionette as they were being hand painted in the rear of the showroom. The clothing details are incredible and each hand painted face has its own personality. Compared to other marionette shops I visited, Rici was by far the most interesting and the offered the best value.

It´s really great experience. All the technical details, the scenes, the way how the whole exhibition is made, it´s really amazing. If you are interested in history and you like unusual ways how to find it, this is right for you. Do not hasitate! I really enjoyed it.

Mysterious experience, mild enough for kids while still entertaining to adults. First part of the museum is on the ground level, but it is made to be dark inside and therefore it can be sometimes hard to read the descriptions (bring a phone with a flashlight with you). You will learn about local legends in detail and see the "artifacts" from those legends. It is very interactive, you can touch everything and experience the museum with all of your sences. Peeking through tiny holes in the wall, decapiting dolls and similar fun interactive elements made this a memorable visit, even though some of those were already broken or not working properly. In the dungeons you can "travel back in time" into a recreated old Prague and its mysterious streets, which are beautifully made. You can meet the most scary characters from the legends here and it's a tiny bit scary, but kids should be able to make it though. It's a shame the museum is quite small though.

Hoping this is the museum at the Castle. It wasn't included in the multi site tickets that we bought before travelling but it was good. A huge collection of Czech toys from different eras. Apparently we visited on the first day of the new museum. My husband particularly enjoyed it! I even noticed a Czech version of the 'walkie talkie ' doll 'Little Poppet' that I was given as a young child. Presumably Poppet's Czech cousin! I'm not sure whether, had we had them with us, our younger grandchildren would have liked it. They'd probably have been frustrated that they couldn't actually play with the toys. Everything was very well displayed in the cabinets. Well done to the owners/curator. One of the most interesting things in the Castle precincts.
