Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I visited the Lobkowicz Palace with my girlfriend last year through the Prague card and we were astonished at the beauty of this site. The palace was built in the mid-16th century at the behest of the Lobkowicz noble family. Over the centuries the family accumulated an impressive collection of decorative arts objects, military and hunting equipment, musical artefacts, and classical paintings. The highlights of the collection are the Hay Harvester by the Flemish painter Pieter Brueghel the Elder and two beautiful views of London by the renowned Italian artist Canaletto. The collection includes numerous portraits of members of the European aristocracy from the Lobkowicz family, as well as their relations, but we didn't spend a lot of time looking at them as we didn't find them that interesting. The interior of the palace is absolutely spectacular and if you're a fan of classical music, it may be worth booking a combined museum and concert ticket for one of the classical concerts that take place in the Baroque concert hall in the early afternoon on a daily basis.

The palace is situated in the Prague Castle complex but it's very easy to miss, which would be a shame as it's definitely worth a visit. Make sure you listen to the excellent audio guide and take the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful view of Prague from the palace's terrace.

I was in and out in around 20-30 minutes and I can't see you will get much more than that

This half-an-hour tour is magically directed by Daniel, the prepared guide who’s introducing visitors into the museum. With his wisdom on alchemy he will tell Praha’s stories along centuries. Definitely this museum deserves a visit. No credit card or bancomat accepted, only cash!

A wonderful memorial to an extraordinary event. The bravery of the parachutists is legendary and yet it is the common Czech families that helped them that will stay with me. Although free, I encourage you to make a donation! A must see.

This (the Veletrzni Palac) is easily the most under-rated and from the (many) times I've been there over the last 20 years, the most under-visited major art museum in Europe, probably because of its location outside Prague Old Town. The collection, and semi-permant display, following a re-hang, is modern and predominantly (as you would expect) Czech. This three-floor exhibition has been re-arranged superbly and, unless you have been before, you should expect art from the last 150 years that you have not seen previously. To really see what is in this building you need around six hours - I did it in three wet afternoons at roughly two hours per floor. Or you could do a whole day including coffees, lunch and a well-deserved pre-dinner drink in the modern and super popular cafe. Go! A tram stops close by or the Vltava metro stop is only a few minutes walk. A tip on the cost, you can buy a combined year long friends ticket which gives unlimited access and is excellent value, particularly if you want to do this site and others over a few days. Remember too, the mediaeval branch in Josefov, the fine arts one near the Castle, the temporary exhibitionat the Kinsky on Old Town Square and so on, all of which are worth a look.

Following a long walk through the sidesteps and up a steep hill we found this restaurant and brewery. It's very popular,so we had to wait. Seats outside we ordered two different beers, one dark, one light and a very tasty goulash soup. This was accompanied by white and brown bread. Followed by a delicious apple strudel.

Staff friendly and good choice of beers and things to eat. From here we walked through several sqares past beautiful view points to Charles Brige.. A long downhill walk with stunning scenery

This museum is great for anyone interested in the topic. As a history undergrad, i did not know much about communsim in Czechoslovakia until i visited here. The information was very straight to the point and condensed to the important facts. However, i do think there could be more interactive sections to fully encapsulate what living under communist rule in Czechoslovakia was like.

Nicely presented museum with lots of reading to be done. Definitely gives you a good idea of who Kafka was and contains many of its original scripts.
